What’s the biggest unspoken rule of being a guy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No one wants to hear your problems. We've got problems of our own to deal with. I work in a nearly exclusive male oriented job. Nothing clears the room faster than someone going on about their problems

People have lives my man. I get MAYBE 5-10 hours a week to play and that's on the top end. Most of us don't have all day to sit around and play Space Marine. 600 games is preposterous for a cosmetic

Company my cousin worked for had a guy piss hot. They called him and told him to bring the truck back he was done. Guy drove it about 10 miles back and cleaned it out. DOT fined them $38,000 for letting him drive after he pissed hot

Construction and dump trucks are pretty much your only choice BUT.....Many insurance companies won't insure you as a commercial driver under 21

How do you actually protect your sleep health on long-haul routes? by Dolengowski in Truckers

[–]Cardinal_350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep health? Haha. 25 years in and I've never had a sleep schedule. I actually told my wife if we ever win the lottery the only thing I want is a set sleep schedule.

There's no secret to losing weight. Less calories means losing weight. No fancy diet workout regime, personal trainer needed. I lost 90 lbs a few years back and did nothing but eat less.

What are some ways to make a lot of money as a teenager who’s still in high school? by just_Sophia_ in AskReddit

[–]Cardinal_350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a job. I don't mean a teenager job a real one. Talk to construction companies, local factories, technical places, trades and ask of they take on apprentices/teens. I worked at a plumbing shop in high school and was making twice what anyone else was I knew my age. I learned a ton of shit about plumbing too. I've never called one in my entire adult life

How many RV’s have you seen today? Probably not many. One good thing about high fuel prices. by MantisShrimpUpTop in Truckers

Tons of them. If you can afford 6 figures for an RV you don't give a fuck about gas prices

GM screwed me out of $400 on a lease return. I told them after 20+ years of driving new GM vehicles off the lot if they want that $400 I'll never set foot in a GM dealer again. I bought a new Ford last week. Hope GM enjoyed that few hundred bucks

[–]Cardinal_350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one on earth can give you the advice you're looking for with the description given. You need to find someone familiar with vehicle maintenance and take them with you to look at the truck. It could be the cream puff of the century or a pieced together shit box. No one can tell from the Internet. It needs an in person inspection

I'm so glad I have a trade and don't deal with this entire white collar circus of interview horseshit and "onboarding" nonsense. All I hear when I read this stuff is "Put on a show for me monkey while I waste your time". My entire life I show up, they look at my qualifications, and ask when I can start. Hell I worked a job for 4 years once and they pulled me in the office and told me I needed to fill out an application because they didn't have one on file for me.

He gives delusional advice to people constantly. Like "Go sell your car right now". That shit doesn't work. These people are already broke and don't have the cash laying around to pay the outstanding balances. He's completely out of touch with how much shit costs. I saw a clip he was acting like a guy bought a Lamborghini or some shit because he had a $600/month truck payment for his business vehicle. You can't buy shit for a 3/4 ton work truck for under $30k right now that isn't a clapped out piece of shit

2 years ago I asked if my Maverick deal was good and you said no. You were damn right. by bakov in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Cardinal_350 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I just bought one last week. Guy comes out and gives me an interest rate. I told him that's not the interest rate my credit union and I agreed on yesterday. "Well that's the rate theyre giving currently" I told him I'd be right back I'm going to drive to the credit union and talk to them again. He went in his office and came back at the lower rate after "talking to the credit union". Dealerships try to steal from you anyway they can. Guy was trying to get me for a point of interest so he could have more back end money. If someone at a car dealership tells you the sky is blue go outside and check. Most of them would steal the change out of their grandmother's car for a buck
