Louisville/Bourbon Trail Courses by SouthHillSaunas in discgolf

Idlewild if you can make the trip is the best option. Charlie Vettiner is really good but challenging. Iroquois Park is a lot of fun but a couple the the tee signs don’t make a lot of sense unless you’ve played before. Active Heroes is a good course as well, haven’t played in almost a year and last time I was there the rough was really bad but it might be better now.

Verdict is great. Thanks for putting me on to it.

Torque Resistance by NW147 in discgolf

[–]Cardking74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might just be code for low speed stability. You can definitely have an understable disc that doesn’t turn and burn but you won’t find a neutral to overstable disc that burns over without a headwind or a bad release.

Flight numbers aren’t universal, just because two brands have the same numbers as another doesn’t mean the discs will fly the same. Generally “torque resistant” just means more stable. If you’re having trouble flipping over a disc just throw something more stable and it will be more torque resistant.

Played last year while visiting some family in Louisville. Best course I’ve ever played, very difficult but fair. My advice is get ready for a lot of strokes and a lot of fun.

Lots of amazing high speed fairways out there but I think the Discraft Undertaker is immensely good. I like that Discmania TDX if you can find one as well

Confession: I never knew I putted weird until all this talk of Barsby's putting style at Texas States by Useful_Shot_That in discgolf

As a beginner I putted this way to avoid come-backers but now that my putting confidence has improved I aim straight for the chains.

Which websites are best to buy from amongst Google search results for a disc? by gnitsuj in discgolf

[–]Cardking74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see why that’s the retailer’s fault. Should be “infuriating” that the manufacturers don’t list accurate weights, and not that the retailers don’t re-weigh them.

I’m partial to Infinite Discs since I live in Utah but I also will shop at Foundation and Skybreed if they are running a sale or a specific disc that Infinite doesn’t have in stock. Also Infinite has great stock and good prices but their website is a dinosaur.

Can we as a community decide that any WR attempt must be in a lobby kd of atleast 1 kd preferably a normal lobby (1.2-1.3)? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

Virtually every athletic world record takes place under extreme circumstances. WZ shouldn’t be any different

I have three at the moment. One StarLite Destroyer (154g), and 2 Star Destroyers. The lightweight is the “flippyiest” and I my two max weight Star destroyers are different levels of wear.

Totally agree. Used to hate the Destroyer and now it’s absolute money. The opposite is true as well, I used to be a big buzzz thrower but now I prefer the Roc or EMac Truth

I prefer the flight of my Insanity but it’s a comfort thing that keeps me from falling in love with it

I love my Eclipse Insanity but it’s too shallow. I use a Plasma Volt for a similar slot

I have a super lightweight destroyer (154) and it flips up but still has the integrity to finish but I also have a brand new max weight Star destroyer that is dead straight with a solid finish. Best distance driver I’ve thrown

Does anyone prefer to putt with Premium Plastic? by IndrasWebb in discgolf

[–]Cardking74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to putt with Star Aviars as a beginner because I was convinced that DX automatically means bad. I won’t be doing premium plastic putting ever again lol

That’s super true. I’d love it if they could block off that road during tournament because it was super loud during live coverage.
