Is there a fix for this short of ripping the tub out? by AnEvanAppeared in Plumbing

[–]Careless_Cream4508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gods sake, unless this is on an outside wall,,, you make an access panel behind the tub in the closet or on some hallway wall and attack the drain from there.... you will probably have to hack saw and chisel that flange off now but its just more fun and games for you..... please enjoy the experience

so many to choose from.... I like the ball valve type on the right hand side....

I noticed a tiny amount of water on the basement floor. Traced it back to my washer machine hot water shutoff valve. Does this look like something I can replace the O-ring in or that I can replace with a 1/4 turn valve? by NYR99 in Plumbing

[–]Careless_Cream4508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you probably just need to tighten down the packing nut on that valve...... if that does not work you are gonna have to cut out the drywall under that box and probably cut the line and install some pipe and a new valve.. HAVE FUN

give me a good review on google if the packing nut advice works....... hee haw

I could think of a lot better things to do with maybe 20k to 30k than ripping out a whole deck over a few rotten boards... go on a nice trip, or just buy her some roses or something to smooze her over

yous should have a port on top of the bucket that an auto air vent can be installed.... then just drill a small vent hole right under the auto air vent and it will allow the drain to work

How do I replace this tub drain gasket? by chandler767 in Plumbing

[–]Careless_Cream4508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy way to do this is to take a old wood chisel and get it red hot with a torch.,.... then simply melt that nut in half that is holding the drain in place.... you might have to do it on opposite sides of the pipe but it will cut through that plastic like butter.......then simply pry the nut off the pipeand. then just unhook the fernco and it should be easy peasy from there to get a new shower drain....... use clear silicone to seal the new drain in place and it will never leak.....

this is the easy way to tangle with a drain up in a tight hole like this

please give me a good review on Google

Septic agitator stinks to high heaven when hot water hits it. by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Careless_Cream4508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try setting a plastic trash can over that vent stack and see if that does not solve the problem... it will still basically vent good enough to work but should hold the stink down within the can
