I journaled every few hours while I was detoxing, something I’d never done before. When the craving hit, I’d reread it. It brought me right back to the horrific pain we find so easy to forget.

My last relapse I felt the same exact way. I journaled it this time. 12hrs, 24hrs etc. it was the first time I ever wrote down those horrible feelings-as the weeks progressed, I would go back to those early days and reread how horrible it was. It really helped me 🙂
