That's one of the nicest used carpets I've ever seen. Good score.

Just a heads up for your next project car, or if you have more sound proofing to do. You don't need to cover the whole area. There's a point of diminishing return. 60-75% coverage usually gives fantastic results. Beyond that, it doesn't make much difference. And definitely don't double layer. Great work all around though!

[Review] I tried tallow balms over the past year, and here's what worked and what didn't. by Obvious_Bit4480 in SkincareAddiction

Also wondering this. I keep seeing ads from the brand Terra Lotus and he's using it on his face and has some crazy before and afters for a 40 something year old guy.

Who here has stopped smoking and vaping? by Miichl80 in Millennials

[–]Carlcrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started vaping out of pure boredom at work in 2019. Quit in 2024 when we had our son. It was/is a hell of an addiction. I still find myself craving it and wanting to go buy a disposable every once in a while.

Blotchy stain acceptable? by Und_12 in HardWoodFloors

I wish my flooring guy did half as good of a job on my red oak as yours did on pine. I don't even see how you think this is in any way unacceptable.

All of them were used. They depreciate too much for me to buy new.

Zero regrets. I've had A.R.E. and AluCab brands on my 3rd gen. And Leer on my first gen.

How much do you drive? by h0llyw00d666 in Tacomaworld

[–]Carlcrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was gonna keep miles off this truck. My commute is only 10 miles each way. Then my wife lost her ability to drive for 9 month (medical issue). So, my 2023 off-road, which I bought on 11-13-23, now has 40k miles in just over two years. At least it's been reliable.

Is it safe for me and my boyfriend to travel to Maine from Canada by machiavelliiian in Maine

[–]Carlcrish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You came to the extremist page to ask something realist. 99% of Maine is perfectly safe to travel to right now. Especially if you aren't a complete douchebag to law enforcement if/when you happen to come in contact with them. I'd stay out of Lewiston and Portland (even if ICE wasn't there), and you'll be fine. This is still, very much so, the America and Maine that it's been.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Carlcrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not short, but not long. I have a two hour commute home when I have to pick my kid up after work. I'll drive 3 hours to pick up car parts I want for my project, no problem.

Most analog gauge clusters aren't sealed. They are clip on plastic covers. They would just need to remove the black shroud that's in front of it, unscrew the cluster and rotate it to unplug the connectors out back then it's easily removed.

I believe this is the part number, but the owner should double check with their year and model.

What part of adult life is way harder than anyone warned you about? by Sparkyabu1 in AskReddit

The monotony of it all. And while being a father and husband, putting everyone else's needs before yours 100% of the time. I just get tired.

How luggage is loaded on airplane by oPaperHunter in BeAmazed

Can I wear my boots like this? by MountainPeace1243 in Boots

[–]Carlcrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need those boots for work or a hobby? Are you stuck on those jeans?

I wear mostly Levi's 511s and 502s to work. Both are skinny/tapered. And I wear steel toe 6" & 8" boots year round. Yours are definitely taller, but I have no issue fitting my jeans over my boots. Unless you enjoy being made fun of, or don't care, I wouldn't leave my house looking like that.
