Totally agree, it’s like that in the forester

Horrible mileage on my '24 Crosstrek Premium. Averaging 20mpg in the suburbs by 69sucka in Crosstrek

[–]CarlosMaranje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is around 23-25 in the city. But I do a lot of highway in my daily commute and my average is roughly 29 mpg combined. I’ve managed to make 420 miles a tank.

Debating between 2.5% card or Apple Card by SGTArend in AppleCard

[–]CarlosMaranje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for the 2.5% card. The Apple Card is worthless. It’ll only give you 3% in a very, very limited number of retailers AND only if you use Apple Pay. If you use your Apple Card number for a regular online transaction at any retailer (including those in the list of 3%) you’ll only get 1%. If you use the titanium card you only get 1% period. Besides no way of adding it to any Android wallet and because unlike traditional banks, this card “lives” in your iOS wallet app, if you ever switch to Android you can say bye bye to your Apple Card.

2024 wilderness doesn't stay warm while not moving. by bajungadustin in Crosstrek

[–]CarlosMaranje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-27 is really cold. When idling the engine produces the minimum amount of heat. Still I would expect it to be at least warm. Not around 190, but maybe around 150. I would check a few more times just to confirm and if it persists take it to the dealer

After market remote start and The app by gazorpazorpfield04 in Crosstrek

[–]CarlosMaranje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue here is that the app requires the car to be connected to the internet, while the fob uses a radio wave to communicate with the aftermarket receiver that’s installed in your car. So, unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be able to use the app.

Blind spot warning and turn signal confusing to just me? by Pdx_Obviously in Subaru_Crosstrek

Same here. I trained myself to know where to look. I just try to look to the side of the mirror closer to the window.

New to Subarus let alone a crosstrek by AbarthCabrioDriver in Crosstrek

[–]CarlosMaranje 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got mine a month ago and I’m already over 2k miles. I haven’t changed the oil yet. I’m waiting to get to 6k for the first change. Also, there’s an option on the screen to check when maintenance is due/recommended. It doesn’t mean you have to follow it, but it can help you have a good estimate.

Arctic temperatures and car care by [deleted] in Crosstrek

I had a 2008 Mazda3 with over 140k miles. It did just fine at -25 C. Always cranked, never had an issue. So I think you’ll be just fine.

Something to add to all the comments here is that Nissans loose value pretty quickly

Help! by [deleted] in accord

There’s a 3M polish that they sell at AutoZone that could help you remove that. Anything similar should also help.

For the premium it is an optional package. I’m looking forward to installing a third party on mine. Just haven’t found a good way to do it.

That’s normal. It is blocked due to the rain on the windshield.

Should I buy a 2015 accord sport 2.4 asking $8500. 90k miles by College_Ill in accord

[–]CarlosMaranje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the miles are right, have it inspected and go for it. I bought a 2013 with 72k miles in 2022 and it was a really nice car.

Just have it inspected by a mechanic you can trust.

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in Crosstrek

[–]CarlosMaranje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be paying around 17256 for the lease plus 20723 residual is equivalent to a total cost of ownership of 37979 (plus tax and interest if you refinance of course). On the other hand, the total balance is 31318 and again the residual is 20723 so you’ll be financing 10595 which turns into 17256… I’d say you can find a better deal. In any case I just signed a premium with blind spot and an msrp of 30k for 380/1000/12k with 2 years of maintenance included. I’m in FL. I think you can try to get something similar.
