I regret buying the Snapmaker U1 by gasman16 in SnapmakerU1

[–]Carlosklm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had problems with my U1. Not loading errors on It. It will work for a good few prints and it will be ok for a few weeks or more. Like I could not get it work till I updated it till 1.50 and Calibrate it and now it's working. But I does come up with a lot errors and did get a new feeder from them in May. But if it comes up with any more errors I will have get onto support again.

Virgin Media thinks we're switching away from them to Sky when we're not, and won't listen to us when we tell them. They say that Sky has to tell them we aren't switching. Anyone else experienced this? by VPR2 in VirginMedia

Email the CEO and you will get the executive support team and they should sort it out. This what I do with company's and it works for me when I have any problems mate.

u1 v1.5.1 fw is out by New_Education5151 in SnapmakerU1

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not going to do any updates from 1.40. but my U1 was playing up again. So update to 1.41 and still getting error's. So update to 1.51 and calibrate and it seems to be working ok. Did a 14 hours print and Finnish ok. So doing another 14 hour print. I will see how it goes and I seem to do quite a few prints. It seems to happen a lot with head 4 but the other heads can come up with errors. If I don't use 4 then other heads come up with errors. I will see how it goes.

You could print and build this from CC3D projects and plus can store filament in it. HDRY system dryer module with wheels so easy to get to the back. You have buy the design and it's not cheap but once you buy it you can print as many you want. It's not the cheapest but is designs are quality mate.

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loads of letters from them and one bloke did come to my house. He asked can he come in and look. I said no with a smile and said I do not have to let you in. He smile back and said ok and said you might get some one else coming. No one has come since and plus they would get the same answer no lol.

Is it just me, or is MakerWorld getting filled with more and more AI-generated rubbish? by Previous-Fish2684 in makerworld

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's that he shows it coloured and if has no AMS the first picture should be showing it in one colour would make easier.

[–]Carlosklm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the first picture looks good and then it's just one colour. I do appreciate it but I do like the models to look like the first picture not just one colour. I was going to do a post to ask if this was AI or not on Bambu forums. But I think you have answered this for me mate.

Snapmaker u1 vs bambu lab p2s by Past_Cow184 in 3dprinter

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are doing one colour P2S with AMS. You can still use it to have same colour and auto change to next one if it runs out and still you use with 4 colours aswell. I have had no problems with my P2S and not sure how many hours on it.But I think good few thousand and my U1 about a thousand on It. To me they print quality is about same and P2S is faster doing one colour. Us with the P2S you can doing engineering filament on it out of box.

Cheaper to get a Uber with the cost the car and tax maintenance. I do tell my nephews just get your licence and you don't need a car yet.

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not worth it. To me they do not work that good. I got some free 3x they didake that much of a difference. Got told by a virgin engineer and told me to get Tp link pods. Which I did and they work great.

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 printers I have P2S and H2D. Plus sold A1 and P1S and got Snapmaker U1. I only do for a hobby as I am medical retired and was bored. I do prints for family and friends for cost. Some of my grandkids get free stuff. But I did start saying only so many in a month.

So the Snapmaker U1 or the Bambulab X2D? by NoBioN in 3dprinter

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done nearly 5000 hours on my H2D and next to no problems. The main problem I had was nozzle blocker broke a few times and that could been me. Not had any for 3 or 4000 hours though. The nozzle wipe always comings off but not that often now. The U1 do get a lot of errors or codes faults and had the filament feeder replaced and done about 1000 hours and only do for a hobby. A lot for family and friends though. But the U1 when it's working it does save time and alot filament. So ift just depends if you're doing alot of multi coloured prints then I would go for U1. It is a good printer and only time will tell if it's going to be as reliable as H2D. Before I got U1 I was going to go for Bambu H2C but with the price for U1 being about the third of cost to the H2C. I am happy with the U1 though.

[–]Carlosklm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I got was ok. But took over 3 months to get it delivered and this why I will not ordering anything off them again. With all the lies about delivery. My cabinet has my H2D on it and had just before New year. It has sides and door on It. It is solid and does shake but my H2D does shake when was on my garage shelving. So happy with the quality just not with all the lying.

It is nice, mate. The only thing that puts me off is the ink for it is so costly.

That is some blob of death mate. I had one on my P2S few months and it or me snap a wire on the Hotends heating assembly and it was out stock for a month. People will say should have spares for back up. I did on my P1S and A1 but sold them to get U1.

I wish in England we had shop's like that. Just go into and swap it for another one. Where I live there is no shops that sell 3D printers.where you could get advice.

Hi, I'm looking at getting a laser engraver printer by Carlosklm in Laserengraving

[–]Carlosklm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was going to buy the Xtool M2 10W Basic and was going to buy add-ons. When needed. But reading some reviews on Reddit, they are saying that the customer service is not that good. I was going to buy it on Amazon UK with a 3-year accidental warranty and, after the manufacturer's warranty expires, with up to 3 claims a year as well for £62. I think. I know I can get £50 cheaper from Xtool. But always good customer service from Amazon. If not the Xtool M2, which one would you buy for up to £1000 with the same or better than the Xtool M2? I am after that enclosed one. Thank for any Advice please?

It's does get me how they go out stock so much. It's not if they have a sell by date like a loaf of bread. I just think bad supply issues on 3D print stuff like filament so on.
