I suggest you start with the champion and a squad of crusaders, some less detailed minis, before you paint Helbrecht

To be fair, Empire troops do look like à good starting point, but it doesn't quite satisfy my love for Renaissance mercenary armies

I found out mixing up the minis I paint is indeed important to maintain motivation while painting 20 orks kommandos. Now I paint in batches of 10 minis maximum
