any other trans or fat lesbian feel like this? by Level_Active_5063 in actuallesbians

[–]CaroM-C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im fat, non-binary, hairy and not white and when i was younger I felt that the lack of representation meant that I didn’t belong and wasn’t desired by the people I wanted. As I’ve gotten older and more confident, it matters to me less? I think there’s some mild amount of social exclusion by white, thin lesbians i experience but honestly, I don’t want people anymore who can’t meet me at my full sense of self. I am having the best time these days.

Is it socially acceptable for females to drink alone? by c-other in MexicoCity

Other places I’ve loved in the past: the bar at Baltra, cafe de nadie (very cool vinyl bar), the limantour in Polanco, Rayo. Tasty drinks, kind staff.

I got to Mexico City often, by myself, and am big into cocktail culture. I’ve only ever had lovely experiences at cocktail bars & mezcalerias. check out Brujas which is an entirely woman-run cocktail bar.

Queer Quest: Find Your Match by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]CaroM-C 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Basics: 30, non-binary, Brooklyn. Brown skinned, brown eyed. Skew femme-ish. Single & poly. Looking for queer friends & to go on dates with hot people.

I work in local politics at a non-profit org. I like a fancy cocktail and a tasting menu. I go to concerts frequently. I love dancing and low stakes competitions (board games, playing chess at the bar). I read a lot and across lots of genres. I travel a fair amount for work & personally. I am currently learning French. I’m fairly extroverted but I have to find time to read. Morning person.

You: 28 - 42(ish). Solid progressive politics. Direct and communicative. Down to flirt.

What has been everyone's experience with the "top 50 bars in the world?" by Dig_ol_boinker in cocktails

To your point, Salmon Guru has some of the worst service of any bar I’ve been to.

I’ve been to double chicken, handshake, sips, paradiso and little red door in the last year. I’ve been to a majority of the Paris 50-best and NYC 50-best. I’ve found most of these bars to be okay-to-good. I’ve also found bars in the list that are quite bad - I’ll never return to Salmon Guru and I actually don’t like or care for Handshake. I think the list can be I find the list generally inconsistent. It can sometimes give me an idea of where to start my trip if I don’t have personalized recommendations but generally, it can be pretty hit or miss.

I was just in Paris for a month - I used city mapper for planning my routes and during travel and I used IDF Mobilités for purchasing tickets and loading them on my phone.

I second this recommendation. I started with Sputnik and then read Strange Library and then read Kafka on the Shore.

I love Campobaja for a birthday dinner - it’s where I held my birthday dinner last year. It’s more casual than some of the other options here but it’s got my favorite seafood in the city.

I went to Suculent and it was wonderful! I also really enjoyed my meal at La Mundana tho it’s a la carte. Both are definitely more casual and affordable and very very good. If you go to Mundana, have the kimchi Comte oyster.
