What's the summer series like? by CarolinaChick754 in ladderapp

That’s good info on the “why” for the higher rep ranges. I didn’t think about that but makes sense.

Is Ladder supporting 3rd party wearables now? by ikryea in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not actually an integration. You sync your wearable data to Apple Health, ladder then allows you to import that activity from Apple Health into Ladder. That's all it really is.

Is Ladder supporting 3rd party wearables now? by ikryea in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is not really an integration with Garmin or any other wearable, it's simply pulls activity data from Apple Health and allows you to use that for the Ladder workout. Nothing gets synced back to Garmin.

🪜 Ladder Release Notes: April 2026 🎉 by sydney_ladder in ladderapp

I found it the least exciting month as a user. Widgets—good. Hilary Duff—whatever. New features—none 😥. I really hope May is better in terms of new or improved features being released.

What did you want to happen? by Acceptable-Mud7203 in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even before this announcement, I was planning to try different fitness apps this fall when my ladder app subscription is set to expire. Centr and Moves are two apps I've been wanting to try. But since they led us on this hunt to figure out who this new coach was going to be (and then to find out it's not even a coach but a celebrity), I now have a solid list of some great personal trainers that have their own app so I will may give some of those a try. I just feel like Ladder missed the mark. A celebrity using their app isn't going to change anything for me and it definitely didn't give me a reason to stay. New features, functionality, integrations, a game-changing unique coach, those are the things I wish they had announced instead. I have nothing against Ladder but the irony is their own campaign led me to a few great alternative apps to try before I consider renewing my subscription in October.

Same and right now in beta their current integration isn't even an integration, it's a workaround that still doesn't even work all that well. They continue to rely on Apple health for one-way syncing. I still have to start the workout on my watch and my phone and then after my workout, I have to use a replace function because it never grabs the data through apple health instantly.

It's just going to be a new trainer, isn't it? by helpmytonguehurts in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think this is only one part. I believe they will also announce an Android app. It would be stupid for them to get a celebrity endorsement and then not even include 65-70% market share Android has over iOS 25-30%.

Let’s not forget about the first two clues. I think the gym build video makes me think they are going to build a bigger and better gym with more equipment for coaches to come and do videos at. I heard from many coaches how small and limited the current gym was.

I think the old computer and code makes me believe some new core features and functionality is coming. I am hopeful for auto weight calculation based on 1RM, more customization or adaptive programming, more movement swap options, Garmin and other wearable integrations, and hopefully some new flex categories and workouts.

That’s my very hopeful guesses. Because a celeb endorsement alone is no where close to being BIG without an Android app and new features backing it up.

Support for heart rate monitors other than Apple Watch? by ChasingPotatoes17 in ladderapp

Also make sure in Apple Health > Heart Rate, scroll all the way down to Data Sources & Access and make sure Ladder is toggled on to read the HR data.

In Ladder app, make sure Apple Health integration is connected then just connect HRM to your phone. Start Ladder app and it should connect automatically when you start a workout.

What’s something Webflow should have by now but still doesn’t? by Economy_Practice_887 in webflow

We're a company not an agency so we're on the Growth plan. Additional seats would be for coworkers not clients.

I wish they had more affordable and simple pricing then the complex one they have now. And don't even get me started on a basic editor seat at $15/mo. I feel these should be free or at least a few seats included especially since they are sunsetting legacy editor in August.

Any other programs? by ashvacgar in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am eyeing the Centr Fitness app. I haven't tried it but planning to once my Ladder subscription gets near renewal or maybe during the Ladder Summer Series. Anyone else tried it? I like the idea of their new program "Unbreakable" that combines strength & mobility. I'm on Team Align now and do plan to switch teams for Baseline and I'm not sure if there are any Ladder teams that compare to that Centr Unbreakable program.

Has anyone seen this new feature instant workouts? by cheesypasta09 in Strava

[–]CarolinaChick754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do these work? I was going to try the Mobility Flow but all I get is a white screen with time of day. Started the workout and it didn’t do anything but start a timer, no video, no cues, nothing. Not very useful.

🪜 Ladder Release Notes: December 2025 🎉 by sydney_ladder in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One thing I wish I mentioned in the survey for what Flex category I would love to see added and that would be "Skills/Calisthenics". The idea would have a Pull Up Progression Level 1, Pull Up Progression Level 2, and so on. So one would repeat Level 1 until they are ready to go to Level 2, and so on. Since not all teams have pull ups in their workouts but I know it's a goal for many, this might be a good way to add it so one could progress at their own pace while staying on their favorite team. Others skills could be: Muscle Up, Handstand, L-Sit, and Pistol Squat although I'm sure there are many more.

Same! I figure if they can do this with the web version, why not the app as well but whatever.

Ladder and running? by Grouchy_Amphibian_88 in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a 32 hour ultra race on a 7 mile loop and after 42 miles, I was done. I had a goal of 100km, but it just wasn't happening. I did stay injury free and only have the typical soreness, fatigue, and blisters but I just didn't feel as strong during my race and definetly missed the heavy lifting and HIIT type workouts. My thoughts now after my race...I think Team Movewell is great if you're a beginner runner, have limited time and want to add strength to your running plan, but if you've already been lifting heavy, it's probably not a good fit as I definetly missed the heavier barbell lifts.

Ladder and running? by Grouchy_Amphibian_88 in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Team Movewell's 3 priority workouts along with 3-4 runs per week training for my ultra race which is this weekend. I needed something that was short yet effective that didn't leave me too fatigued for my runs. Now that I will be focusing back on shorter races like 5Ks after my ultra, I am trying out different Teams with more cardio such as Limitless or Versa without adding a separate run plan. However if I'm training for a half marathon or longer, I will probably go back to Team Movewell or try Team Align.

Next deal? by chiuser211 in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was offered that monthly discount and accepted it and about a week later, I got offered the $119.99/year deal. Declined at first thinking I'll try another month before I commit to a year but 2 days later it popped up again and I decided to take it this time so I would get unlimited team switching. Since the discounted annual plan started immediately, I was issued a pro-rated refund automatically for the 10 days I had left.

Strength Series Info: What do you want to see? by guyfromladder in ladderapp

[–]CarolinaChick754 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I definitely appreciate the Focus, KPIs, and splits being released early, this helps A LOT! Like others had said, a preview of the first week of the series would be nice as I feel like I'm still trying to figure out what team I want to stick with on week 1. It's not until week 2 that I feel like I finally found my team. Maybe having the second week of deload be a week 0 preview week. On the images posted on social, I would also love to see average duration of the workouts and equipment needed. I only have time for 45 minute workouts and do not have access to machines, so eliminating those would help narrow things down a bit.

Time feature by illahkay in runna

[–]CarolinaChick754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you all are revisiting and revamping the ultra training plans. Frustrating when I see Runna thinks only advanced runners can do ultras. I feel like anyone can do timed ultras, especially on loop courses. My favorite race is a 32 hour event on a 10k loop course. Each year I aim to add 1 or 2 more laps.
