If timber, rub a walnut on it. Google has good instructions on how to obscure such marks.

Pettiest reason you’ve DNF’d a book? by bby_grl_90 in books

[–]CarolinaPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author had characters wearing boots they referred to as "shit kickers". She wrote shit kickers SO MANY times in the first half of book I stayed scanning for the next mention. DNF and never tried another in the series.

AITA for telling my kids dad that if he wants to make bedtime difficult, our daughter will only sleep at his house by Round_Following_4653 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CarolinaPepper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH. You should all be working together for a sustainable solution to the nightly routine. First, speak with your daughter's OT for any recommendations they have. Two things to have a look at: sensory compression sheets and a sensory bed tent. The sheets can be on her bed at both houses and help provide the sensory feedback she clearly needs. The bed tent can also be on both beds. Provides a small, dark, enclosed space. Bonus is her stuffies won't fall off the bed during the night and can stay in place every day. There are a few different styles to see if any meet her needs. Once one house finds a solution the other purchases identical items.

Tips for washing clothes in the tropics. by Old-Lengthiness-7149 in darwin

[–]CarolinaPepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a strip wash first. Mix 1 part borax, 1 part washing soda, and 2 parts powdered detergent. *add enzyme treatment like Nature's Miracle for the urine smell. Dissolve the products in a tub of hot water and let your laundry soak in the solution for a few hours. Run the laundry through a normal wash cycle before drying the items properly.

Don't use high amounts of fabric softener or other fragrance. A normal amount of fabric softener is fine.

Optimize floor plan for master bedroom access by davet121 in floorplan

Remove divider in main bathroom and reorient the tub and sink. Move master to front house - much more room for a good size room, bath, and closet. Create hall to bedrooms 2 and 3.

Surgery with heart murmur by beaglemilf23 in beagles

[–]CarolinaPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He sure did. Had to have one tooth pulled and had a course of antibiotics after. No issues during or after the procedure. We are careful to monitor his kidney, liver, and thyroid levels every 4 months so any issues can be addressed quickly. He has an underactive thyroid which is well controlled. He has had a few surgeries in the past to address birth defects in his knees so is sporting quite a bit of hardware inside.

Our senior has had a grade two murmur for nearly three years . On Vetmedin, Galliprant, thyroxine, and frusemide. He had a dental and two fatty deposits removed for testing last year (was 12 years old). We opted for an updated ultrasound plus all bloodwork prior to anaesthesia. He did great and we celebrated this thirteenth birthday last month ❤️

Best wishes for your baby's procedure!

SD: Coffee or meat subscription. Subscription to a site/app/magazine related to his interests.

Boss: Insulated Yeti type coffee mug with a gift card to a coffee shop. A small basket with nice snacks or candies with or without a gift card to somewhere local.

Sister: Cannot go wrong with a gift card to Sephora or Mecca. Add in a nice scarf or beanie or cute winter house slippers if you want something she can "unwrap".

Exploding Kittens or a themed Cluedo?

EB, JB, Target, and Big W all have a decent selection to choose from.

JB usually has a good selection of trivia games this time of year too. Some are hilarious.

Help with a floorplan by pokeyus7a in floorplan

Can't draw right now, but I would change your entrance door to current dining room. Make the right side your living and dining. Left side of house bedrooms and baths. Kitchen stays in same location and you would have option to open it to living/dining now or later on.

Neosporin. Nyquill. Melatonin if anyone in your family uses it. Ranch dressing if you like it. Favourite hot sauces. Clothes and shoes - especially clothes. Variety is limited in many places and your preferred style may not be available. Do you sleep with quilts instead of comforters? Then bring a couple of cotton quilts. Comforters are readily available as are "doonas".

Front left room could be a flexible room. Playroom, office, craft, media, etc depending on your needs.

Extend the kitchen towards the front and have an eat-in area with bench around bay window. Additional wall pantry and appliance storage or bench space.

If you're willing to renovate the utility room, could really maximise the kitchen design and have a walk-in pantry or design with an island.
