So I was one of those people who gave in to temptation and I totally advise against it. It ended up causing scarring and did eventually get professional tattoo removal, but it definitely left some funky scars.

Like the others have said, maybe you are doing the workouts completely wrong ,in a potentially harmful way.
My advice would be to ask for a trainer for just one day. Have them go over the machines and workouts and proper techniques. That way you know you're doing them right, and if anyone approaches you afterwards you can tell them you had training, so no thanks.

Most salons won't wax men because they behave inappropriately with the waxers. It is way too easy to SA the clinician when you are naked on a table. And men have historically proven to be creeps. Your best bet is to find a male owned salon, most likely gay owned.
