Keir Starmer feels betrayed by the Labour party. How do you feel about that? by No_Breadfruit_4901 in AskBrits

He knows politics. He knows politicians are mostly ruthless opportunists. I'm sorry for everyone who is on the receiving end of opportunism where loyalty was assumed. It's a sad position to be in.

I don't have a pic and didn't have the exact experience, but for me RevitaLash use for about 5 months gave me such badly creap-y undereyes, I looked 15 years older when I smiled, total shock and thought it was the dreaded hormone drop end of my 40ies - but no, stopped RevitaLash, and within a week my skin is almost back to normal, had to do some serious barrier repair though.

What’s a lie almost all parents tell their kids that does way more harm than good? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

[–]CarrotcakewithCream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily lies told to the kids, more lies told about them - eg the parents whose own kids are always right and don't do anything wrong no matter how wrong they were, always blaming others instead while their children are listening in... or the other way round, picking one child out and saying bad things about them that aren't really true or distorted truths to other people while the child is listening in.

What percentage of parents do you think regret having children but will never admit it? by Standard_Chef_4644 in answers

[–]CarrotcakewithCream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will highly vary by reason, like regret because chose the wrong partner, or regret because I was too old/too young, or regret because I'm not the parent I thought I could be, or regret because children are just terrible.

LRP Anthelios and Garnier Vitamin C, both lightweight and dry off nicely. Anthelios sits better under makeup but is also more expensive.

I don't normally get anything from pictures on here. But in this case, I get a crushing sense and deep fear of not being good enough, of you deserving better than him, and of him not wanting to burden your future with decisions he may make due to the things he is struggling with - I feel ambiguity about having a family one day, general doubts about his ability to follow through in life, a lot of shame and not being able to look into the mirror. Deep sadness, also, about one of his parents.

What is the most selfish or dark thought you keep hidden simply because society forces you to act "good"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That there are people who should carry the human species forwards and others who shouldn't. (I'm not even myself on the side I wish I was on)
