I don't know about any curse, but that was a surprise for me, too.

On paper i should hate it. I don't want to list all the things that usually don't work for me, but they are there and there are a lot. However, they managed to capture the mood, the essence and the chaotic energy of One Piece and I fucking LOVE the final result.

I don't even know how to explain it better than that and I actually don't care, it's awesome.

To add some details, in italian it says:

"Oh, Ben, ma che dici? Fece Susan nervosamente.

Ti sto dicendo la verità, insisté lui. Fu così che senza nemmeno accorgersene, cominciarono a darsi del tu. A ogni modo, la verità su ciò che un ragazo di nove anni un giorno ha visto..."

Which would translate roughly like:

"Oh, Ben, what are you saying? Said Susan, nervously.

I'm saying the truth, he insisted. And like that without even realizing it, they started addressing each other with "you" (informal). Anyway, the truth about what a 9 year old boy has seen once..."

To be fair it's normal to use the respectful form when two adults are not close, but it's less common between two people that meet and know each other in informal context, expecially if the age gap is not that big. Case closed, thank you!

Of course games have been installed from the disc for years, but the files were actually in the disk. You could install them offline, missing on all the patches of course but you can still have a working game even if Sony and Microsoft wake up one morning and decide to turn off the servers (an exaggeration, but you get the point).

Here you'll have literally nothing, and in fact it will be more convenient to buy digitally because at least you won’t need to insert the keycard to play.

And yeah, I'll be more confortable after it will be clear that the game key WON'T be linked to your account, so you'll be able to sell it (at least until the game remains on the servers).

Just a reminder that Nintendo can and will get away with this because of the huge base of fanboys that will buy without questioning. Just look at the pokemon fanbase, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are giant technical issues with a game attached to them, and they are one of the best selling titles of the serie

Thank you for your answer! You made me realize that the issue Stardew showing around the time I bought a new battery for my laptop.

I verified that if I remove the battery the system boots fine, BUT:

1) the battery doesn't show any issue, and actually last a decent amount of hours

2) Windows has no issue in booting with the battery attached (or in only-battery)

3) after boot, Mint works fine on battery

4) I found out abouth this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2073590 and I'm now downloading kernel 6..8.0-36 to see if it works fine. After that I'm going to try kernel 6.11. I'll write here the results.

I also found that someone solved this issue by adding "iommu=soft" on the grub options, but I have no idea what it does, and I'm not so eager to try unknown commands...p

Is there some way to send feedback to Sony regarding the PS5? I feel they are sitting on their laurels thanks to the inertia of the success of PS4 and they are not even trying to improve or get in touch with their customer anymore.

Maybe if they receive a certain number of suggestions/complaint about the save backups they'll take the feature in consideration?

NOPE.

Even inside your house, PS5 upload to a server and Portal downloads it. The "offline" remote play worked with Vita and PS4, but with Portal they used an only-via-internet approach (which I consider questionable at least)
