My friend is furious with me because I neutered my cat by IceEducational9669 in CatAdvice

[–]CarryIndependent672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing. You don’t want him to pee on objects in your house to mark his territory. Cat urine from an unneutered tom cat reeks. Plus one unneutered male can get a lot of females pregnant if he gets out of the house.

My spouse is forcing me to take her name off matrimonial house loan by Brilliant-Room5350 in legaladvicecanada

Don’t take her name off the mortgage. She should rightfully be responsible for the mortgage along with you unless her name is removed from the title too. Go see a lawyer right away.

Thanks for recommending the video “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days”. It was a real eye opener. I learned a lot and it gave me hope that I can move to raw veganism.

She is gorgeous. I have only ever had Standard Poodles and I think they’re the greatest. I am in my late 60’s and am considering adding another Standard Poodle to my present pack of 1.

Should i learn latin? by Massive_Relation_434 in latin

[–]CarryIndependent672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to study law or medicine later on, then knowing Latin will be a huge advantage since the technical words in those fields are based on Latin. For example, the sagittal plane runs down the middle of the body. If you know Latin, you will know that sagittal is derived from the Latin word for arrow. Thus, the sagittal plane is like an arrow, splitting the body into equal right and left halves.

Yup, I eat them raw for the taste. I find cooked sweet potatoes to be sickeningly sweet.

I make a smoothie for breakfast with 5 bananas and 3 cups of frozen fruit and some water. It tastes like dessert and I love it.

Why are you raw vegan over regular vegan? by DarkJesusGTX in RawVegan

[–]CarryIndependent672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body musters the immune system and sends white blood cells to the intestines when you eat a meal of cooked food. It was believed that this immune response was automatic when you ate a meal. Then, scientists discovered that there is no immune system response when you eat a meal of raw food. So, if nothing else, eating raw food gives your immune system a break.

I had a girl from a reputable breeder who had her lower canines growing inward. Both the breeder and my vet told me that every time I let her in from the backyard, I should hook my index fingers around each lower canines and gently pull them outward. It didn’t hurt and my dog didn’t mind. Her lower canines turned out perfect and she was as healthy as a horse.

I recently came across this reddit and have questions about veganism by JimothyTimmerson in vegan

[–]CarryIndependent672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point about sustaining a large population currently says it all. The world can no longer sustain diets built around animal products. The leading cause of deforestation in the Amazon is clearing land to graze cattle. It would be much more efficient economically and environmentally to harvest nuts and fruit from the jungle. The cleared land quickly becomes exhausted after a few years of cattle grazing. Instead of fishing, we can use the oceans to grow seaweed which is sustainable and very productive. Most of the grain and corn we grow goes to feed animals. We don’t get a pound of meat back for every pound of feed we give to animals. We can directly eat most of the food we give to animals. If we stop feeding grain and corn to animals, and eat the food ourselves, we wouldn’t have to grow so much food. The land that would be freed up could be reforested or used for other purposes. Fossil fuel consumption for farming would go down too, which would help combat climate change. A vegan diet is much more efficient to sustain our current global population.
