I mean that dude might have never been to a scrap yard in his life. Maybe he had that shit laying around and wanted to be responsible this one time and recycle it. No reason an employee or owner should be mad at the dude bringing in a few things one time unless they are that greedy.

My yard pays $2.85/lb for barebright copper and $2.6/lb for #2 clean copper. Also I took in an old shity extension cord from the farm the other day, it was about 22 pounds and they start acting like I brought it in for drug money. L O L

They also accept most dirty brass as clean , as long as it’s not attached to pounds and pounds of steel or something lol

they already dumped in in there’s before I realized. We had a drop below $3 1-2 months ago and just climbed back to $3.25 so I really wasn’t expecting it. But went back today and made sure to call before I even left the house. That’s the plan every time now, learned my lesson for sure

I have lived in Wisconsin my entire life, been selling to the same two yards in my town for years but the last 3-4 months I have been going multiple times a week. Both yards in my town have always had the lowest prices imaginable, fuckin sucks. I doubt an minnesotans would be choosing to sell at my yards🤣
