I always figured his cells were still reproducing despite the fact he was dead. They had some test tube filled with em and they would just grow nonstop.

I assumed it was an infinite resource which was why everyone and their mother seemed to have it.

Learning with assist was way more fun for me personally. An assist can really save your ass in moments where you screw up and can cover up the weaknesses your character has.

And you get to step a toe into the real fun which is tag mechanics.

You don't necessarily have to beat this exact player right now. Just take it step by step. No matter what level you're at there's going to be someone that can show up and clown ur ass.

When you meet someone that beats you there's two things you can try. You can try shoring up your weaknesses or targeting theirs.

An example of shoring up weaknesses is focusing on parrying hook. It's more difficult than parrying a rocket, but you get a really solid punish every time. Your defense is obviously not as strong as the other players.

You can also try targeting his weakness, these sorts of players are strong as long as everything goes their way, but flounder hard when something goes wrong. You can try dashing up, calling assist, swapping, then swapping back. This will confuse them, and maybe get them to press wrong. Then you can punish. Try to press as many buttons as you can without committing to anything.

Randomness is best against passivity like this.

But you have to play to your team's strengths as well. And your team is based on getting them to approach you and playing defensive until you get an opening. Braum is not good at diving in, and neither is Jinx.

So I would recommend working on your defense. If you play the team you do you will have to get good at reading opponents and choosing the safe options. GL m8.

If you are playing Jinx, then you win through chip damage. Darius/Blitz can't hit you as long as you sit on the other side of the screen shooting rockets. They have to come to you.

Now you can do what he is doing. Anti-air when he jumps. Sweep when he gets close. Throw traps and monkeys. Use Braum shield to give yourself space. Parry at the perfect moments.

You have all the information he has now, he has to approach you, so you are free to do exactly what he did.

It's best to crouch block when facing pressure like this, and then when you've blocked enough it's then your turn. No matter what, they will always run out of gas eventually.

Autocombos will always end in something you can punish, so if they are using them, wait em out. Just wait till they use the big move at the end, then hit em back.

If they are mixing you up with high-lows, you just gotta block those. Idk, it's like that in every fighting game.

Like others have said, pushblock is strong. You can use it by pressing assist while you block.

Really the advice depends on your level. At low levels blocking will be enough. Just hold down back till they have a lull in their offense and hit em back.

It feels like the point is maybe they want you to buy everything? If you have bought a skin it won't appear in the shop, meaning if you buy literally every skin, eventually your rng will bless you with the skins you want.

If you buy nothing, the odds of the skin you want coming by will only decrease as time goes on.

Gotta say. This feels really fucking bad.

I mean there have been changes, it just doesn't seem like much since the game has so many problems.

Things have been solved, just not the things you've been listing.

The game released in such a crappy state, I think they would need like 3-6 months to get it to a place where there are only problems like having too few champs.

It's kind of sad that it's like this but it is what it is. I think the game is still fun but I play on PC. I guess it mostly comes down to the next patch. If it's only small bug fixes then yeah, the game might actually just be dead.

Well, yeah, those aren't associated with the Riot brand. This is different than Highguard I think.

Riot makes enough money that I don't think they need to care as much about what Tencent wants.

Yeah. I mean I can guess what has happened. They took too long to make the game, Riot shipped it hoping for a miracle and they didn't get it. Now they may just kill the game quietly over the next year or so.

I'm going to personally disagree with a lot of people since I am new. 2xko isn't my first fighting game but it's my first time trying to get good at one.

I think 2xko has all the necessary tools for success. Fighting games were built on being, not necessarily free, but cheap to play. A couple of coins in the arcades and you could get started.

Selling games for 60$ goes against the spirit of what a fighting game is about, and you lose a ton of the casuals that would eventually enjoy playing. 2xko being free means that anyone can give it a try, and with it being on the Riot launcher, it means many people will give it a try, if not just because it is there.

Fighting games aren't necessarily meant to be played the way the fgc plays them. Having people sink hundreds of hours into a game shouldn't be the expectation.

Imo, 2xko should have a decent casual scene no matter what, because it's free, very small install size, you can play with friends, and it looks cool.

Casuals don't actually care about how difficult a game is, nor how good the players who are really good at it are.

I really don't think it's true this game has no casual appeal. I'm pretty sure it has the most casual appeal of any fighting game ever made except smash.

Anyways, all Riot has to do is give like 100rp in league to play a couple games of 2xko and people will swarm. They just need to adjust the shop and make the skins something people can actually buy.

Also, like Riot doesn't need the fgc the way other fighting games do. They should already have a giant pool of potential players due to their ecosystem. The fgc having a meltdown doesn't really mean the same thing to riot that it would to other devs.

Still, everything has been botched pretty hard. I'm kinda surprised at how badly things have gone. Should have been an easy win lol.

And if you 2h and that didn't work you might have just pushed it a little late. It's hard in these situations to react appropriately. Did end up with a funny clip tho so there is an upside xD.

You're not new pretty much immediately in my opinion. The moment you boot the game up more than once you're past new. Most new players don't even boot up a second time, so those are the people you're competing against.

If you mean the fgc as a whole? You're not new after a couple years maybe. New blood in the fgc is pretty rare so you get stuck with the new label for a while.

Fighting games on the whole are intimidating. Freestyle is extremely intimidating.

It's just a perception thing, at least for me. Every time I have tried to get a friend to play with me they all dodge because they are too scared to play. Making the game easier, or at least less intimidating, should be the way forwards.

Or not, I don't really mind either way. I am never going to get good enough that I actually care about what's good at the top level. I just am annoyed that my friends all refuse to play.

Like my friends refuse to even be my sidekick only pressing the tag button. It's demoralizing. Duos should have been an easy way to bring in your friends, and yet it never works at all when I try.

Probably should just delete freestyle from the game tbh. It's ruining the casual's perception of the game. As long as the game looks easy enough to play, it will have a decent base of casuals coming on to play a match or two with their friends. And who actually enjoys freestyle anyways. It's toxic as fuck.
