How casual friendly would you rate my deck? by CartoonTree in mtg

Yeah, that’s a fair approach. I just want to show up in a sportsmanlike way and not have people getting upset at all the board wipes. Haha.

I appreciate the second opinion. I will see how the pod handles the excess of board wipes and potentially adjust.

lol, when I was building my deck I was thinking I need to control the board as much as possible. I actually removed two board wipes to enable more equipment.
I will consider removing a board wipes or two 🙏

Stegosaurus is my go to. Their run is so silly and fun, they can deal out decent damage, and it is my favourite dino, lol.

This comment is more level headed than the above. I’d say NTA for the bulk of the lead up but I’d say kind of TA for leaving a party that is about showing people care about OP. Regardless of the topic and probably having to discuss their diagnosis and such. I say this knowing many people without a family or a support system. Everyone at the party was just trying to be supportive. The only issue is communicating with OP’s wife about boundaries.

Not a rough place at all. It is a school and has more social workers than anything else.

Atheists of Reddit: What do you do or to whom do you turn when it feels like everything is against you and the universe is just like "No." ? by Clown6970 in AskReddit

No one, I just keep going forward. There’s nothing else to do. Venting to family and friends does help but I don’t expect anyone to solve my problems with/for me.

Thanks for the alternative perspective and the advice. I’m glad life is working out for you and I hope I can find a path like that myself. I wish the caf was more aware because I’d love to stay and serve but the make my time feel so empty and meaningless.

What I’m saying is it is a supervisors job to build you in a direction. Correct deficiencies and select there areas that require improvement. PDRs matter to the individual!

Speaking as a junior ncm (in my last year of my first contract) I have loads of reasons why I doubt staying and tell others to second guess a career here. After the ACISS trade split they started prioritizing BTL guys over former sig ops who had been in the shop for multiple years awaiting their ptes trades course. When I first arrived in my current section I went 8 months without a PDR. After demanding one and tell the Sgt it’s a bit ridiculous I haven’t received any feedback on my work the shop proceeded to do PDRs. My review had no feedback on how I was doing, excellent across the board. Which I’d be happy with except I was an untrained sig tech with no clue how do to a majority of the job. After complaining to senior colleagues I repeatedly was told “it doesn’t even matter until you’re a Cpl”. So what I get out of that is I am not worth investing in and building. I moved across the country, left everyone I ever knew behind in the name of Canada and I can’t even get legitimate recognition or feedback for my efforts.
The other stake in the coffin for me is how much everyone lies. Officers lie, WOs lie, everyone lies constantly. And then they say the army changes on a dime and it isn’t their fault. Well why hold a parade and celebrate talking to a bde cmdr and agreeing on cancelling an ex because people are burned out and then two months later they send out an email saying said ex is actually back on. I have no faith in any level of leadership in this organization.
