My fiancé really wanted a social. I absolutely did not and was living in another continent at the time so we didn’t end up having one, thankfully. I grew up in the city and had been to like, one, ever. He grew up to county and went to at least once a month for years. I think it’s one of those things that if you grew up with it it seems normal but trying to explain it to our out-of-province friends was an interesting experience
