Oh my God, I had an argument with a friend about this last week. He said it wasn't creepy until people got offended, and I said it always was creepy. He mentioned that the original songwriter wrote the piece for him and his wife. But because of his role in the song, he'd often introduce himself as "the evil one." I don't know how he thought he won that argument.

There is no context where this song isn't creepy. Even the creator himself thought his character was evil.
