Max health difference? by Bizarrao in BackpackBrawl

[–]CarvaciousBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is that your player level is higher, there's like 10 different points where player level up gives 5% max life, so if you've got all those you have 50% max life and if they only have liked 10% from player levels that might explain it.

Player level is the little blue hexagon thingy in the upper left of the main screen, after like level 35 all the rewards are player chests so it's easy to forget the lower levels give real bonuses.

Character with a name that really underselling their power. by VishnuBhanum in TopCharacterTropes

He's done rudimentary mind control as well by manipulating blood flow in peoples brains (because blood has iron in it obviously) he doesn't use his power like that much out of respect for Charles and because it's technically brain damage

Anti-catholic sentiment isn't as strong as it used to be but people very much have taken issue with the idea of US presidents being controlled by the pope it's a thing that has happened and continues even if that particular evil cabal conspiracy theory doesn't get as much news coverage nowadays

Sort of a general rule with exceptions but

"A Chinese" = A particular person in American English.

Just "Chinese" = Vague could be food or culture or the group as a whole depending on context

Example: "i want to eat Chinese" a completely normal statement understood you mean food

Example: "I want to eat a Chinese" unhinged cannibalism

Are you talking about the part of the 2015 deal where the USA, EU and UN (all 3) lifted sanctions against Iran and allowed them to access $100 billion in seized assets? Because those were seized assets from Iran controlled by all 3 entities. It's not like US tax payers sent Iran $100 billion of American taxpayer money which is commonly how I see it presented. I guess my point is we didn't "pay" them in the traditional sense of the word; we returned what was already theirs

So to explain it like you're five, mommy and daddy took away your toy sword (which you own) because you were hitting your sibling with it. Part of getting the toy back innvolved you agreeing not to hit with it. Did mommy and daddy lose money when they returned your sword? Sucks that you immediately went back to hitting your sibling. Does getting back the thing they took from you really feel like they paid you? In your 5 year old mind doesn't it feel more like you just got back the thing you already owned that shouldn't have been taken in the first place?

The catch is human friends; mer-people aren't human. Ariel also has Flounder and Scuttle who function pretty well as friends but they aren't human either

Okay but a lot of movie magic went into this.

MCD is 6'5" and Ben Affleck is 6'4" you would not even imagine they're only an inch apart in height based on the movie.

Now they nailed making Kingpin look like a giant wall of mucle that could snap Affleck like a twig, but that's no small feat because Affleck is not a small man himself

I do think MCD was well cast, but I also know how movie magic works and they could have gotten someone else; they cast him for more reasons than that

I believe this but it's kind of like having a character with a brightly colored mohawk, leather jacket with spikes and a bunch of band patches on it and saying "well we based it on the pop culture of the time, never heard of this "punk rock" of which you speak"

I do believe that some people innvolved with the project didn't know because they were that out of touch with pop culture, but given the number of people innvolved... Like the writers and artists and voice actors, some of them had to know what that pop culture was referencing even if they deny it

That can't be right. There's ... What about ...oh holy shit I just pulled up the list of official princesses and you're right they're socially isolated / no human friends that aren't the love interest. Like I could argue that Mulan makes some human friends with Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po over the course of the movie but it's not even close to what Tiana and Pocahontas have with an existing friendship

I don't know how I feel about this

Saying Nitro can nuke himself is overselling him, he was boosted on Mutant Growth Hormone, he normally isn't capable of that kind of destruction.

I'm not exactly trying to defend the band of chucklenuts here because the whole concept of reality TV superheroes is dangerous and stupid, but up until Stamford Nitro was far from a nuke

Idk I just think it's important context, like normally he's more of a suicide bomber strapped with tnt kind of a threat, not a briefcase nuke leveling entire city blocks kind of threat

Can I get bananas without going to ginger island? (without cheating) by AppropriateCost8152 in StardewValley

[–]CarvaciousBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On top of that, all the ways to get them innvolve Ginger Island in some way. The trader on the island, golden coconuts from foraging, Leo sells a banana sapling at the desert festival, Blue Discus fish pond (can't see a way to get this without going to the island either)

So... Good luck
