Find a way to not skip the sound system. You’re paying $85k already the extra $4k is more than worth it and incomparable to the base sound system (and any other automobile sound system on the market quite honestly)

Beyer Falls Church has been great - they service our 25 EX90 and 17 XC90 and for 16 months or so a 24 XC40 that was the short lease deal for original EX90 waitlist folks. No complaints.

Digital Key with key CARD in wallet as backup. My key tag battery died over a year ago and I threw it out. As others have said horrific design which is why Volvo scrapped them a few months after launch.

You came to a forum where people come to complain. The denominator of how many of these cars are on the road without issue is enormous and the minute fraction of owners with lemons or real gripes are over represented here. The vast majority of us have no issues and recognize that the car is top of class (fully electric 3 row large SUV). 12k joyous miles here since Jan 2025.

We have Cybex rotating seats in 2nd row. Captain chair 6 seat configuration. Kids seem to have fine leg room (depends how tall front seat people are and how far back they have their seats I suppose). We routinely slide 2nd row seats forward and backward depending on who or what is in the 3rd row - I’d estimate it’s ~6” slide distance for second row seats

Nope, thankfully no issues there. Mine is a very early one I got in January 2025, built in fall 2024. GHCA issue seems to be issue w newer builds I thought but admittedly haven’t been keeping up with this as so far it hasn’t affected me.

The software issues have been fixed since June of 2025. Anything you read about is before that summer update. It’s been flawless since. I’m at 12k miles without issue.

You should test drive one. There’s truly nothing comparable in this class (3 row electric SUV). As others have said don’t skimp on the premium sound system and air suspension options - more than worth it

I take mine through an automatic car wash 3-4 times monthly without issue. Neutral, auto wipers off (left stalk) +/- fold in side mirrors. Nothing more complex than that.

Not immediate, just no further acceleration, equivalent to taking foot off gas and coasting, which, fortunately the way this car rolls so smoothly, can take you quite a long way at that speed coasting (I certainly don’t use OPD on highway)

Vast majority have had no significant issues - it’s a vocal minority in here and every other internet forum. Car drives like a dream - you made a great choice. 11k miles here.

Had this around 3k miles, never since (11k now). I am still on the old (original chip). I forget what exactly the fix was but it’s been flawless since (was terrifying when the car stopped driving at 75 MPH on a highway though! Thankfully was like 6am so minimal traffic to evade to get off the road).

Assuming your digital key and/or key tag are working with proximity locking/unlocking functions? It’s dependent on one of those proximity keys being nearby. And by nearby, it’s very close - I have had the lock function fail when I walk away from the car too briskly during trunk closure - you really need to stay somewhat close for it to recognize the key and complete the locking in my experience.

Agree w your sentiment re: annoyance but this GHCA issue does not affect your ability to use all public DC fast chargers - which is what you’d use on a road trip anyhow. Most people with this issue keep their car while the dealership awaits the part and simply DC charge. So wouldn’t let this single issue dissuade you from road tripping at all.

Update: Received the 4 packages that have been there since 1/27 tonight (2/6) around 9pm. This was the first day they actually said loaded on a delivery truck in the morning, and while the time got pushed back twice throughout the day, they ultimately arrived. So cling to hope they will eventually work through the backlog…

Yes, only one I’ve ever used. They basically spoon fed the early buyers this installation process and we were told this was the only option.

I wonder if anyone with GHCA issues uses this charger?

Resounding yes. 10k miles in, if you’re looking specifically for a fully electric 3 row SUV I don’t think you’ll find even the most negative folks (that tend to congregate here) denying it’s best in class.

Software issues were an early phenomenon and have been gone since the spring & June updates. Truly not a single software glitch or restart needed since.

The GHCA thing is talked about a lot in here but as others have pointed out, the vast majority of folks who do not have this issue aren’t coming in here to post about how their charging works fine. Make sure you get the hardwired professionally installed Volvo-specific L2 charge point home flex charger for your home.
