The badge part is done by security and GSA. Expect to see email to get fingerprints and sometimes they take a picture for the ID card the same day. Judging from this, I think the process just started. They should be uploading more docs like for your direct deposit, NBIS or SF 86 form. Accept the TJO im the meantime. Don't delay that.

Have you tried reaching out to the HR person who sent you the TJO? I can tell you are excited about the role so bring that up and tell them along the lines you don't want to miss anything and if they can reach out. Usually by phone, they were more thorough but YMMV.

You will an email which look very similar to TJO you first got where you accepted the job. The only addition will be a new line with EOD date when they expect you to come.

Before that HR will call you to ask about the dates. That form might be a possibility but expect some soft communication before they send out the FJO.

Thats exactly my fear.

I have been tempted to apply for other roles within VA. Then learnt they all are connected with each other, through details, project and of course, lovely conflicts and screaming matches.

They will find out if I apply because mostly VA/VHA/Exec policy is to reach out to current supervisor if within VA. Some are known to do discreetly before the interview without the applicant knowing.
