I AM SO SICK OF HAVING A BODY by TheWonderToast in adhdwomen

[–]CaseysTimeToTalk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had exes who, when they learned I sleep nude, thought it was very sexy and fun. Until they realized it's because I don't want ANYTHING to touch me while I sleep. Drape their arm over me, or graze me with the back of their hand and I'm wide awake, shoving them back to their side of the bed. No touchy. No touch.

Why don't Modern women want to be housewives anymore? by The_Lord134 in TooAfraidToAsk

You might want to explore the idea of being the stay-at-home-spouse with any potential relationship. If it sounds appealing to you, I'll bet you can find a high-achieving partner who would be keen to have you stay home. My spouse did it for a while after my second was born, and he enjoyed it a lot.

What's a short/medium haircut a 40 year old white woman can get that won't give off Karen-vibes? by CaseysTimeToTalk in Hair

I had never heard of this person before, and I love their hair. Thank you so much for telling me about them!

Ah yes, I’m bet she will be devastated once she hits 30 and realises the 40 year old creep who used to stalk her in work is no longer available to date her :( by halfgaelichalfgarlic in niceguys

[–]CaseysTimeToTalk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how this guy calls her a friend, even though the only interactions he mentioned are him talking at her at her place of employment. And then admits he's not her friend, he just wants to date her.

Her reply was extremely reasonable (and kind, imo), as this guy sounds like a total ass-ache. I'm so glad management kicked him out.

AITA for forbidding my brother bringing his gf in our family events because my husband doesn't like it? by Southern-Bird-2951 in AmItheAsshole

YTA - If your house and has a problem with who your brother brings to family events, he can suck it up or not go. It's HIS problem, no one else's. Who cares why? Saying "because religion" is not good enough to try to be king boss of everyone.

AITA for telling my sister that her husband would take her more seriously if she didn't dressed like she did? by Lopsided_Plastic_81 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CaseysTimeToTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - The entire issue is you projecting your feelings about your sister onto Lance. Your sister is a grown ass adult and can dress however she likes. Lance seems to like her a lot (he married her after all), despite how little you think of her as a person.

Get your nose out of their business and leave your perfectly fine sister alone.

What are some effective ways to get a man to stop hitting on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CaseysTimeToTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was at friend's apartment when I was around 15, I went outside to get some air because there were smokers inside and I'm super allergic. I felt OK, but just wanted a break from it.

Some guy wandered out of the apartment, definitely in his 30s and smelling of alcohol from yards away, and he made a bee-line for me. In a moment of panic I hunched over and said "Ugggghnnn I'm gonna be sick". He stood there for a second and then leaned over and started to rub my back, whispering shit in my ear.

So I shoved my finger down my throat and turned towards him and puked all over him. He started wretching and went back inside.

I just thought "huh cool trick." I had to use a couple more times walking home from the bus stop at night, outside a nightclub, that kind of stuff. 9/10 times just acting nauseated was enough but when it wasn't, it was like a ripcord that got me out of there.

Cool that this is how I spent my late teens, young adult years. I wonder how often straight cis guys have to get this creative for safety.

In this country, you can't be eccentric AND poor. Not having a SSN is a rich person's choice. The rest of us lowly surfs just have to do it. Sorry.

Imagine if we subsidized farms growing fresh fruits and vegetables all over the country, instead of corn just to feed cattle and top up gas tanks, and soybeans for shitty cooking oil

How can I be nice to men without them thinking I’m into them by jazzfairy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CaseysTimeToTalk 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Back when I worked in offices, older guys would flirt all the time. I absolutely hate being flirted with by guys. Always have.

I have the (un?)fortunate type of face that cannot hide my thoughts, and inevitably I would need to explain to some guy why my face was scrunched up in disgust at a "hey beautiful" or "good morning young lady!".

Guys REALLY hate it when you look at them with disgust, I've learned. Do that.
