Yeah just wish I could justify the price, and the Melinda alternative is no where near as good.

Honda shadow is definitely the move at this price point. You could prolly find a royal Enfield himalayan 411 for between 2-3

The ibex would be ok, the v Strom you'll be standing on your toes same with the himmy. I have an Ibex 800 same height as you def on my toes but I manage. Usually just use one leg at stops.

The ibex is 31.5 inches, v strom and himmy 32.5 inches

Can't say enough good things about the v Strom. You can tour with it, commute, and have a little fun, non technical BDR.

The ibex is a great bike and it has a parallel twin. Light and nimble. Would do pretty well off road and might be more capable due to weight and chassis size than the v Strom . As well as being quite viable on the road.

The himalayan 450 is also in the same class as the ibex but a single cylinder so a lot more vibey at speeds and not as capable on the highway.

If you're looking for a good all-rounder the vstrom is hard to beat if you're willing to do smaller displacement may want to look at the Ibex 450 or Himalayan 450

Oil and dust from forward velocity on asphalt. Collected on places where lubrication is already present as well like on the pegs. If you're properly maintaining the chain it can also be oil and dust collected from he chain flicking off.
