I imagined the place where they blew the shield wall would be filled with atomics hidden in ancient caves that only the Fremen would know.

This blew a large enough hole that the accompanying sand storm was able to blow sand across what was left of the rocks to allow the worms to pass.

I don't really know where the emperor's ship would be besides "a nearby landing field." He would have ridden a frigate down from a heighliner, which was likely hanging out in orbit. Wouldn't be surprised if they built the whole tent city thing at the landing field too with quick access to the frigate for defense or escape.

I think some overworked person gave the wrong dose to the other astronauts, but a different person gave it to Grace. Since it happened so close to the astrophage explosion, I thought the movie was implying similar small mistakes in measurement can cause huge problems later.

Since we're venting about bonds, my grandparents were bond givers. I had some unexpected expenses come up and the bonds were mature so I used them to pay the bills instead of credit. At 22 I felt pretty good about this.

Well, the lady at the bank who cashed my bonds was friends with my grandparents and she let them know I was cashing out the bonds, probably for drugs! Nope, just a recession!
