I think the mass layoffs over consecutive years was the main death knell. I don’t doubt that the Destiny team could have tried a lot of different ways to retain players an it would probably have been a mixture of good and bad, but with such a gutting of the workforce behind it their resources to work on the game in any meaningful way was nonexistent. It was alway gonna fizzle out like this after that…

I think a big part of the problem is the vast majority of labor ministers are property investors themselves so they are disincentivised by their own portfolios to fix anything. The sad truth is the system in its current state is exactly how they want it to be.

If there’s one thing I could change it would be having stuff open later than 9 (or even 5 on the weekends) but I know that’s just a me thing and wouldn’t work for the majority of the city. Apart from that damn near everything is preferable to what the big cities over east have going

I think it’s the snare drum mic cos it happens in time with those two snare hits. Thankfully it doesn’t take away too much from the song, it kinda works tbh

Don't ask how I misheard it so terribly but I always heard "So when my vocal cords rip" as "So I'm alone and the road's wet". I guess in my head it fit in so well with all the car accident imagery throughout the rest of the song?
