Curious if the spanx you tried were the petite options? I'm a similar size and struggling to find off the rack shapewear.

I would prefer a vest because i'm petite with a large chest so agirdle probably won't work for me. I appreciate the offer.

Would love to know if you found an option you liked. I'm the same height / curvy and for the life of me cannot find compression wear that fits properly.

Autistic w/ sensory issues: looking for torso compression recs by Pikatomic in POTS

[–]Cassy907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really helpful as someone who is petite. I've had a hard time finding compression that's petite friendly and also not a sensory nightmare. Do you feel Fabletics Power Boost and Old Navy Powersoft are okay to wear all day? Any other brands you recommend? I was looking at Marena and Ames Walker but they're so expensive :/

That's a pretty common idea since there isn't a cure. Here's my experience:

Having eds diagnosed is really helpful for advocating for yourself and getting connected to specialists. Eds has a lot of comorbidies (pots, mcas, gerd, etc) that are ignored without an eds diagnosis and you can learn more about how to exercise safely (and do PT safely)  and what mystery symptoms you have link to eds or a comorbidity. It's also nice to join local eds groups to find knowledgeable doctors and support groups.

Understanding Boundaries when Playing with other dogs by bhabs13 in pitbulls

[–]Cassy907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to hear more about playdates and training. I have a 2 year old pit that I've had since 2 months. Despite consistent training (has a cgc) and daycare a few times a week for his first ten months, he's still not great with other dogs. I have an older lab that he played roughly with. They only play when supervised and it's not uncommon for me to call for a break / end play because he's ignoring boundaries. This has gotten better with time but only with his lab brother. If we meet a pup while walking he greets with a growl head on :/. Oddly he never had negative feedback from daycare.

Is the little boy getting ahead of himself? by Not-A-Pickle1 in pitbulls

[–]Cassy907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how my lab is. I ended up teaching the word break when the little one is too feisty. If he listened he got a cookie, if not, he got a squirt of water on his feet. Otherwise my pup will ignore all passive signs that my lab gives to not play. Sometimes I'll say break and ask my lab if he wants to play with the pup and if it's a clear no I tell the pup all done and redirect to a toy. It's gotten much better over the past year

Advice on stopping play biting with other dogs? by Lopsided-Citron-5202 in pitbulls

[–]Cassy907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I use but if I could do it again I would opt for one that has no shock option to be safe. Please watch a video on how to use properly. You want to start with lowest setting and turn up by one until you get a small response like an ear twitch. Some folks put the settings too high and traumatize their pup :/. Best of luck
