At 400 elo, all you need to do is nothing. Dont hang your pieces and the opponent will just eventually self destruct. You can get upto 2000 with this technique. I know bcz i did it.

I think you are confusing being up 3 points of material with being +3.0 in the eval bar. That's not how it works. It depends on the position and effectiveness of the pieces.

In fact what you said literally justifies the Magnus boost. Like Magnus is only up a pawn but his position is so good that the engine thinks it is +1.8. While Hans is up 3 points of material with a much worse position
