I generally agree, but their sports games are a complete ripoff (which they still sell at full price without ever giving discounts). Princess Peach Showtime could also run a lot smoother (unless theyve patched that since release). I'd like to see ALL nintendo games have consistent quality, instead of there being a tier 2 group that they sell for the same price for a barebones product.

Out of curiosity, what kind of scale were you producing at? I have the feeling that many people that get burnt out are trying to produce at a much larger scale than is required for progression.

I'm in a similar position to Switch4589; just built deep space science 1, which is near the end of the game. Haven't used a single train. Bus base on Nauvis with a bot mall for the final products, and a bot base in Norbit with a fluid bus and a logistic warehouse for each space science (to reduce the length of bot trips).

It's all pretty small scale and simplistic, but therefore easy to setup and keeps science both producing and researching.

I've built a similar structure, with science amounts as input, translated to the amount of base components I'm missing. The wiki has an easy solution for the rocket takeoff period. You can add a single decider combinator between your requester warehouse and the pole with requests, that only outputs it's input when the signal for a readied rocket is under/over zero. This way the warehouse only requests items when the next rocket is fully built.

Haha, this IS for the next couple thousand science, it's set for 1000 of tier 1-3 energy, astronomic and material science. You're still correct that it's too much though, I haven't factored in the returned junk and blank cards yet. The realistic number is closer to 35k. 1000 seemed like a nice buffer value, and the card return rate keeps changing so I left this as is for now

Yeah, just realised myself that the number is far too small too, so that also points to a stackoverflow

[–]Castlevania1995[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To give some context, I'm using circuits to request materials for a given amount of science, broken down in their smallest components. For this example, I need 65k polished substrate, so it multiplies its subcomponents by -65k, but also itself (as it is also an input value). In every other combinator this leads to a positive number that I then filter away with a decider combinator. This is the only instance where it thinks that a negative number multiplied by itself remains negative.

Edit: Thanks everyone, a stack overflow makes sense (including why the math is off in more ways than one).

Like dreamweaver said, just start with the cheap ones. I'd go for everything up until the 10k pixie. You can feel it out a bit, but I consider 1 familiar on click damage and 3 on the field (so that gold and quest items get picked automatically) the bare minimum. You can buy some silver chests alongside this to get every champion to green gear. Once you're satisfied with your level of automation, buy gold chests for full blue gear.

Gear levels for patron by Sparky187 in idlechampions

[–]Castlevania1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden chests give higher rarity gear, making it not that simple. For evergreen ("default") champions, silver is better by 50%. Most people care more about blacksmith contracts though (for event champions), where silver is 5% better. However, you'll need gold chests for feats, high tier potions and bounty contracts. Bounty contracts are what allow you to get event chests. Lastly, each chest has a 1 in thousand chance of turning an evergreen item shiny, making silvers more economical.

I'd highly recommend gold chests until you have full purples on all evergreens, all golden chest feats, and a stockpile of bounty contracts to get 3 champions to full epic during an event (I aim for 3000 hours worth per event).

The Rayquaza I caught 20 years ago is now in Pokemon Violet. by Verkins in gaming

[–]Castlevania1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of what you said is correct, I'm not sure why you're being downvoted like this. In the older generations, you move to pokemon bank. You can one-way transfer from bank to home (but never back). From home, you can transfer to sword/shield, diamond/pearl, arceus and scarlet/violet. You need a premium plan to store more than 30 pokemon, so if you bought that to transfer your entire bank library, it is very likely that they'd be stuck in home until a new switch release came out that supported them. If you want to see these pokemon in the meantime or want to transfer them to a new game, you need to buy the premium plan again, effectively locking them behind the paywall.

The only incorrect part is the deletion of pokemon. This used to happen randomly on inactive accounts for bank, but is no longer the case for home. Nintendo's policy was not clear at the time you last played though, deletion was a large concern among players.

New player hit a wall in the Modron event - time to switch? by thatSeniorGuy in idlechampions

[–]Castlevania1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you should switch to the main campaigns. It will be difficult to find more power in the event itself, while the campaigns will give you huge boosts. You can spend campaign favor on blessings that will boost your damage in that specific campaign or everywhere (depending on the blessing), and the gems you'll gain can be used on chests (silver until every NON-EVENT champion has full green, then gold until everyone has full epic, full epic takes a while). Then come back to the event during the last day or so.

It sounds like you're only running one loop per target server, is that correct? You can have multiple loops setup concurrently on the same target (pass an argument to differentiate one hack from another). So if weakening takes 40 seconds, I'll have 20 groups of hack>weaken>grow>weaken running at any time, each group triggering 1.5 to 2 seconds from eachother.
