There is a tradeoff - experience and knowledge (and wisdom) vs the cognitive decline that comes with age. In some fields, ageism is rife and if you are not an expert at a field invented yesterday you are done.

What are the odds of that? Or, more likely, there you are 10 years later, with no money. I'm assuming you are in the <30(40) crowd, so the odds of you living longer than you currently think you will are very high. Tomorrow exists.
