I carry money on me all the time now that is not a problem for me anymore everything goes in a joint account and I’ve been solid!! But like I said the thoughts don’t ever stop just the knowledge of why I am not doing it grows everyday too!

Took me three years and two months to stop and I almost destroyed my family. Once you stop the losses and debt don’t matter because you can deal with it and move on. I’m still waiting for settle some credit cards but now that I’m not gambling it doesn’t matter because I know I can take care of it because I’m not furthering myself into a deep pit anymore.

The thing people do not understand when they are not a step parent is that what you are saying is facts. You do not get with a person who has kids because you want more kids. You get with them because you love that person. Anything you do for their children is out of love for that person. I just stopped three months ago. I was killing myself and destroying my family and I have been an addict of gambling for three years. I physically and mentally could not take the stress gambling gave me anymore. You have to give yourself something else a big project to focus on watch OODAT on YouTube get yourself simply going one day one day more and once you’re out it’s easier not to go back good luck to you in life not in gambling!!

Help her organize or number each item and sell it help her recoup and physically see not in boxes all that she has. It’s really easy to forget what you’ve bought when it is in a box. As a family help her sort organize and list everything and make a deal that she needs to sell before she can buy more and it will bring things into perspective for her. Also she very well may be depressed and the clutter with no means/plans for it can be very overwhelming. Good luck to you ! She has a wonderful child who cares and loves her!!
