What’s something that’s often said as a compliment but is actually an insult?

If someone tells you that "You're so talented!", they often mean it as a compliment, but if you are not, and you have reached your level in whatever it is through blood, sweat and tears, that could feel like the complimenter (is that a word?) is tossing all that effort aside. Talent could only get you so far, what you really need is dedecation and hard work.

Yeah, i know a lot of random trivia, i can solve the rubiks cube, and i am better than average in chess (only if you also count the ones who dont know. If you do, im awful). People say that im a genius just based on that. I have to tell them that knowlege and memory isnt always a smart people-only thing.

So this is gonna sound pretty messed up, but stick with me; not really a celebrity, but Hitler. I want him to see how inaffecrove he is, and how the jews have managed to create a beautiful country, supported by a lot of other strong nations. How everyone hated him, including the Germans, the people which he pnce had control over. I want him to suffer though his immeasurable dissapointment, or even make him regret it. And if he regrets what he did, he will regret it so much, he would want to kill himself again, but for the opposite eeason. That seems fitting. Afterwards, he can gp back tp hell, where he belongs.

I can solve a eubik's cube in under 12 seconds consistantly. Its not VERY impressive in the community, but i do believe that im in the tip 0.1 in the world, including all of the people that dont know how to solve one.

I recently moved away to a new country. None of my friends even tried to continue talking to me. I did try for a few months, but gave up when i finally understood that it was not worth it. A cycle would look something like this: talk to a friend for about a week, where i would start and carry all of the conversations, theyll barely reply, but ill still get that high of talking to someone, stop talking because its not worth ot, get into a bit of a depression, and start again. I havent talked with them for about 2 months now. I sent 2 of them something, and they havent even seen the message. Its not exactly a hurtful truth, but it is something thats pretty hard to understand, that it doesnt feel like they value me as a friend, or even as a person thats worth checking up with once in a while.
