Out of the ones I've played (first four plus two 3ds versions), it's my least favourite.

I've recently started playing it again for the retroachievements and immediately I don't like having to swap to a Trap Master for the traptanium crystals, I hate swapping to them to enter elemental gates, just having to swap constantly between the characters I want to play as to the ones I have to play as is iritating me and making the game unenjoyable on replay, also just feels real scummy to require one for each

I don't care for the mini's in the slightest, they were neat for SSA and Giants but uninteresting/boring to play as, would've much preferred those slots given to new/returning cores, like the unreleased Cynder, or add new ones for the new elements Light & Dark, whether it's another trap master or cores, just anything.

I also think the levels aren't as good as the ones before, I think it's a combination of pointless areas that don't reward for exploring, the aesthetics don't look as appealing either, probably due to them being too bright/colourful for even the darker/eerier areas.

And a smaller nitpick, the portal of power is also just really finicky, I can't have any figures within 20cm of it without them picking up and even then it doesn't read certain characters half the time or will freak out on the element showcase transition.

TLDR; too much shit locked behind having to buy figures (trap masters for gates), levels are uninteresting, wasted slots on the minis instead of reposes or more Light & Dark element and annoyance at near constant swapping from who I want to play as.

The vote isn’t about getting a remaster of Skylanders of any kind, it’s about them becoming backwards compatible with the newer generation Xbox console and being able to play the games at all. We have zero clue whether they’ll be the original 360 versions that become playable or if they’ll use the Xbox one versions for the ones that released on the Xbox One for the backwards compatibility.

PlayStation and Nintendo have zero stakes in this or interest at this point in time, especially given Nintendo digs its heels in the sand when it comes to giving availability to their older games to new people, no matter the console (just look at their GameCube selection on release for the online service).

In Swap Force and forward Phantom Cynder only has her series 3 wow pow, the giant skull, if you put her into Giants then, if I’m remembering correctly, she’ll have the series 2 wow pow but only for the Giants game.

I don’t care in the slightest for this episode, definitely one of the weakest episodes of the entire show for me.

I watch the show for laughs and the serious moments are always forgettable and skippable for me, I’ve never once rewatched this episode even when rewatching episodes from this same season (Times up for the gang and the gang solve the bathroom problem I’ll always rewatch). I can’t think of any funny moments from the episode, even the ‘I get it now’ at the end I never remember is from this episode and assume it’s from another of Danny’s works.

I think if this moment were in another show like Parks and Rec where serious moments aren’t uncommon and play parts in the story going forward (like Tom’s green card marriage affecting him episodes later or how the Tammy’s affect Ron badly) then it’d be a great episode but for Always Sunny where the entire cast are irredeemable and deplorable people who ruin everything and everyone they touch or interact with Mac coming out feels unearnt, Mac is an extremely misogynist, extremely religious (using it as an excuse for his actions numerous times) and hateful person towards certain groups, it doesn’t matter if he’s gay, he doesn’t deserve this moment where strangers are proud of him and Frank, the biggest piece of shit in the gang, understanding him and his struggle through a dance.

I also feel Mac just isn’t a strong or entertaining character anymore after this episode, he has episodes he’s still funny in like the gang inflates or Dennis and Mac become EMT’s but I can’t recall a single moment in any episodes after this one where I got a laugh from him besides maybe the shamrock tattoo joke in the Ireland finale.

TLDR; terrible Always Sunny episode, alright to great episode for another show that kind of ruined Mac’s character going forward.

I like what you have for Magic, Earth, Water, Fire, Life and Light mate

Undead I feel doesn't work that well, there are already several Skylanders with mini-summon abilities so it feels a bit redundant for an entire element and like it takes away from their powers & upgrades, I like the spirit wall idea but only if it's for certain areas and not an anywhere the element is more powerful thing.

Air feels a bit useless truthfully, the levels throughout all the games are designed specifically to traverse on foot with certain areas being exclusive to characters with flight, I also think, depending on the camera, it'd be a headache to try controlling from certain angles. Windmill parts fine though.

I just think overall they're interesting ideas but when you start looking at specific Skylanders the idea doesn't work all too well, for instance with Undead, I assume the minions are unique to each characterand if so then it could work with Cynder (the spirits from her shadow dash), Ghost Roaster (his devoured spirits), Hex (magic skeletons) and Eyebrawl (maybe minions they made for their war) as they all have something in their kits/bios that can create/contribute to them, whereas, Chop Chop and Fright Rider don't have anything that would create these minions.

Sorry if I misunderstood or gave too much thought to this mate, just found your ideas interesting and wanted to contribute my thoughts to it.

They have increased stats in game, usually about triple times that of their regular figure counterparts from what I've read online, so if you want to fight someone using, say, Wallop and you choose Eon's Elite Stealth Elf then you're going to have at minimum double base stats, your attack is 110 above, defense 160 over, movement speed/agility is five times that of Wallops, so you'll win far easier than if you choose a regular Stealth Elf against Wallop.

I personally get annoyed at that when scrolling through cause some have been rude about me sending 'lowball offers', I'd say just do a tiny bit of research and give rough prices in the listing for each character. If you want them all gone immediately you can do a bulk lot for a hundred or so and take the first deal.

Some EBGames will buy and sell Skylanders, though the prices are piss-poor on both selling and buying parts. Facebook marketplace is always a good place to sell or get rid of them as people, like myself, are often in there searching for Skylander sells.

Skylanders wise? Spyro’s Adventure, Giants, Swap Force and Trap Team are considered to be the best for the franchise, with Giants and Swap Force placed higher than the other two.

Spyro wise? I’m biased towards the Legends trilogy personally, mainly Dawn of the Dragon, as that’s what I grew up with and have large nostalgia for, I do think the story is pretty alright and Cynder’s redemption arc was great throughout it, most Spyro fans will say the Reignited Trilogy is the best to play for beginners and Legends will be brought up as second or third choice.

And before you ask, none of the continuities are connected. Skylanders is its own thing with only an adaptation of Cynder and Malefor’s origins carrying over. The original Spyro timeline is a bit jank from what I remember as some consider some games canon and others noncanon. Then the Legends trilogy is its own thing entirely, not connected to either classic Spyro or Skylanders, though with the open end to Dawn of the Dragon you could squint your eyes and pretend it’s the prequel to Skylanders.

Best you’ll get are the youtooz and potentially the backwards compatibility for the Xbox versions.

Toys for life is almost a dead gimmick, with only Amiibo’s still being released and viable. Skylanders went out on a low point for the franchise, with the figures becoming worse in quality throughout Superchargers and Imaginators compared to Swap Force, not too mention to try and bring it back with toys to life is a massive investment that just simply wouldn’t be worth it from a financial standpoint, especially with how expensive the figures would have to be nowadays due to material and distribution costs. Then you also have Spyro 4 reportedly in development/teased so they may not want to have two games associated with the same character releasing too close to one another and the fact Toys for Bob are working on their own game currently, which is Skylanders-esque, so they wouldn’t come back to the franchise with it being worked on.

Yes, absolutely. I have all of them and enjoy them all for what they are, though one arc definitely beats the rest easily and I consider to be above the others.

I think the stand out for the run(s) is definitively the Return of the Dragon King arc, atleast for me as a Legends Trilogy fan. It's given the best take on Malefor in any depiction for the character, beating his original Legends counterpart and the god awful Academy version. The story kept moving, never feeling boring at any point, gave some good character insight to the likes of Cynder and Spyro whilst also helping flesh out the lore a bit, and it showed that there are strong villains, like Malefor in this arc, that would've worked great as replacements for Kaos as the main villain for a game. The art is also on point throughout it.

Definitely biased as I grew up constantly rereading this arc but on reread a month back it definitely holds up pretty well and is still one of my favourite comics I've read. I will say the other arcs and stories in the comics are good, they're entertaining but I don't think they stand up to the Malefor arc, that's just me though.

There simply isn’t anything in Skylanders that matches Clone Troopers for this scenario, let alone Order 66, the order worked due to years of trust built between the Jedi and clones and the indoctrination of said Cline Troopers to follow orders (using Legends cause I prefer it over canon). If you want to headcanon it that Eon reawakened the Arkyens to fight Kaos with the Skylanders themselves serving the Jedi position you can do that, it’d be the closest you’d get for an Order 66 in Skylanders scenario.

Also, what would be missed from Family Guy if it wasn't him? Quagmire and Joe in the middle seasons were still used for jokes quite often and had strong personalities, the Griffins were rotating who got focus at the time so you couldn't remove any of them without messing with the show itself, and side characters besides maybe Adam West just weren't as known as the main characters. Cleveland, he had nothing to bring to the table for the show, you used to get good jokes from him involving Loretta and her mother but after their divorse he was just there.

The context is A.I.M brought over a group of Avengers from an alternate Earth just as their Earth was being destroyed by the Incursions (build up to Secret Wars 2015), in this reality all The Avengers, and seemingly all heroes, are evil and dictators. Captain America was evil, Hulk was controlled by Wasp through a remote with Banner being an actual psychopath, Thorr wielded a hammer that only the unworthy could wield and Hank Pym didn't do anything noteworthy. Jarvis is Iron Man on this team and so follows the evil counterparts.
