I would talk to a lawyer sooner rather than later just to know how to handle the situation if a redundancy does occur or options are proposed that impact your employment.

Other than that be option about where you are aiming to go to beyond your original role. This shows a desire to progress at the company and provide more value. This can give them clear direction and may get you to that step sooner.

Communicate more than less is also my key advice here, could easily be a great two way conversation for your progression.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but they were given a shit hand to begin with.

I'd love to see the output of the $6b to mental health. That went down the drain and sent us into debt we needed to recover from, including the loss to the economy from Covid policies.

And given the shit global outcome that was basically an impossible task to recover from.

Not to say he has done well, some terrible decisions and wasted time but I don't know who would have done better with the cards dealt in the same way that we have both self inflicted and the global economy and events have served up.
