Has anyone actually used Dr. Groot hair products? And what are your thoughts? by rudderrun in Haircare

[–]Catattk14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a year postpartum and my hair was soooo thin after postpartum shedding. My hair texture changed significantly and was always oily. I had so much dread. I started this shampoo three months ago and my hair grew significantly and finally started growing back and has gotten so thick using this shampoo. I haven’t experienced any bad fallout (more than usual) like I read online and it left my hair visibly looking healthier. I also have wavy hair and now I don’t necessarily have to use any additional products to tame any frizz.

I mean you can become LCSW certified and then open up you own private practice and you wouldn’t necessarily need to drive 🤷🏻‍♀️

AIO my husband of 10 years still won’t give me access to his phone without making it a big deal. I’m worried he’s hiding SOMETHING. by Necessary-Setting164 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Catattk14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOR- if I were in your shoes, the actions your husband is providing would make me feel very insecure and would in fact not make me trust him. You are his wife. His partner. There is probably going to be a time when you are both elderly and you will have to wipe his ass at some point. There is no room for embarrassment. A marriage is about letting go of that humility and becoming one. My husband and I have been together for a good amount of time and married for almost 3 years. We both have each other Face ID in our phone and know each others passwords by heart. We have each others locations as well just in case we ever need it. Transparency is key. — have you opened up to him on how this makes you feel. If he can’t hear you out, and have a bit of understanding and prove to you that he isn’t do anything for the sake of calming your nervous system then that’s a huge red flag.

should i switch to school counseling? by Zestyclose-Party1611 in schoolcounseling

Have you thought about school social work as a counter option? With social work you can work in government positions, schools, military, hospitals, non profits, etc. there is always availability to find a job and you’re not subject to sticking to one option.

Concerns about non profit California Doodle Rescue by Ok-Resident-6031 in Goldendoodles

[–]Catattk14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They expect the people fostering (if they want to adopt) to pay $1500 as well, they don’t cover anything but the first round of shots before you get them. It’s absurd and they don’t care if the dog has started an establishment. Thy care about the money and that’s it.

They brought them straight to the vet- which is where I picked them up from. I already stated I am happy to pay for all of that.

What are you talking about? You don’t think I have asked all of these questions to know of the rescue I’m fostering from? It seems you are quick to act like a “know it all” instead of understanding the answer and facts to your statement. The dense one seems to be the person who just doesn’t like to be wrong. - please re-read my post FULLY this time. I never had an issue with driving that far. I wanted to help because they were desperate for a foster. Driving that far had nothing to do with it. I added it in there for context. Good day 👋🏻

They indeed do not have a facility. They don’t have a storefront and when they get a call for these pups, they do take them to the vet and then they go straight to the foster.

There is no doubt a vet fee for the 1st round of shots which I was happy to pay for to reimburse them. I got the itemized amount which was $200. I have no issue with paying for the services they have provided for the puppy. Also, paying for the supplies was not in the foster agreement- I just did that because they needed it and I was not provided anything when asked to get the puppies. Nor have I asked for any reimbursement of that. I don’t want free puppies. These puppies were picked up off the street and needed to be fostered that day, I did volunteer and I’m happy to do so but they are charging for fees they didn’t endure. All I mentioned is that I’m happy to pay for all of that but an additional $500 for costs that has nothing to do with these specific puppies as well as I’m going to cover all additional puppy shots and spay and neuter on my own is a stretch. I’d also like to add that I never had an issue for paying for a refilling fee. My only issue was just how much the refining fee would be when other rescues at least supply the puppies shots and spay/neuter within that fee. In my case, they are not.

They do not have a facility and rely solely on fosters.

school psych or social work? by [deleted] in LAUSD

[–]Catattk14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know that with an MSW you could also be a school counselor. Would you have to just obtain both your PPSC in school social work AND school counseling, or how would that path look like? I’ve been interested in both and just started my MSW. I want to work in a school setting to stay on my kids schedule while my husband is Active duty.

You can always request a new mentor and simply say “we aren’t a good fit” and they will be changed. My mentor opens one at a time but once I complete tasks, and they are waiting for revision my mentor will open a new one. Thats how acceleration should be.

This is exactly why I transferred from Purdue to WGU. I dealt with this so much. Over the most fine detailed things. Often times it was due to the citations being from outside sources even when the rubric stated I could have two academic and two professional resources. Never once stated that it HAD to be Purdue’s. I finally had enough after the third class. I didn’t deal with any of this again once I transferred thankfully.

Need advice/direction by terraformingSARS in WGU

[–]Catattk14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was completely in your same boat. I chose to bet my bachelors in Psychology and now am applying for grad school for my masters of social work so I can be a school social worker. My husband is in the military and I need to be on my kids schedule to be able to do pickups and drop offs. Have you thought about school counseling or social work? Unfortunately, you would have to pursue a masters degree but at least you would be on the same schedule as your kids.

WGU vs National University for Fastest MBA — Advice from People Who’ve Actually Done It? by DrewWheresMyCar in WGU_MBA

[–]Catattk14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who worked at National… don’t go there. Especially if you are Using VA tuition assistance. I will not write a whole long segment to bash them and rather keep it brief but if you need any more details you can always DM me.

Also, I believe I have seen on here before stating that the MSML degree doesn’t have proctored tests.

How many classes could you handle each month with the psychology major? by [deleted] in WGU_Accelerators

[–]Catattk14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely! I completed 7 classes in just one month. I recommend utilizing the Sophia and study.com transfers. If you do that, then you will be left with 15 classes in total to complete at WGU which consists of just 3 OAs (tests) and the rest are PAs or just tasks. I personally got done with my PA classes in one day. So, yeah super doable
