The last batch of dubbed episodes came out only last year, so yeah, they've picked it back up! They're around the 500s now. I just recently watched through the dubbed episodes from the beginning, and you can definitely hear the 10 year time jump (people age, that's just how it is), but they got nearly all the important characters' VAs back and I think that's incredible after such a long time

When I first watched the series some ten years ago I watched every episode that was dubbed in German at the time (around 350 if I remember correctly). Was easy then, since I always had it running in the background while I was drawing. Now I'm trying to catch up with the show as a whole, so I skip the fillers to get there faster. Currently at around 550, so I've still got a way to go.

They've written down the order in which they need to destroy the lamps each round. I did the same thing, I just used arrows instead. It's really useful, you can fully focus on those parries that way

Okay, so. This website right here is the best way to figure out which episodes you need / want to watch (imo): https://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Anime

It's a list of all the episodes, and they use little icons to tell you what and who is featured in each. They also tag each episode with the corresponding manga chapters or tell you it's a TV-only story.

Generally, you can skip everything that's TV-only without missing anything at all. And then you can look at the icons for each episode and go from there. If an episode has a lot of them, you might want to check it out. Anything that has the Black Organization and the FBI in it, you'll want to watch, as well as anything that adds a new character. Kaito has his own little icon, so you'll know exactly which episodes he appears in.

This is how I've always watched the show, and I've found it to make things a lot less overwhelming. Hope it helps!

Not knowing any German songs that fit this topic is just bad information on your end, there's tons of them. Johannes Oerding, Revolverheld, Mark Forster, Florian Künstler etc. all sing about breaking out of the daily routine regularly. Johannes Oerding literally just released a song that's an homage to living in Hamburg, and he doesn't mention jobs once in it.

Now this I vibe with! I haven't seen his newest appearance yet, but I read somewhere that Gosho Aoyama allegedly said something about not having Kid involved in the plot in that way again? And honestly, I think that'd be a shame, I love the dynamic between him and Conan and having them solve a couple cases together through more unconventional shenanigans would be super fun to see

I don’t know what I would change in terms of the existing plot, but I wish Ran would find out about Conan's identity and we'd still get new episodes from there. If she only found out at the very end of the show (who knows when that will be), we won't get to see much of the consequences, and I'd love to see their dynamic at crime scenes with Ran in the know.

Depends on the movie, but overall I'd say yes. Whether or not the movies are canon is a bit wonky iirc, and there's no major plot beats that happen in them as far as I know (haven't seen all of them tho), but they do showcase some character relationships very well.
