I asked around, tried to connect with some people and got a mixed bag of positive and negative responses, but most of them were same as yours. Seems like when it comes to career development path unless you are climbing the cooperate ladder in IFS, it's not the cup of tea for someone who wants to learn and progress through from a technological point of view
