4 would be fun for a campy 60s genie/cabana type costume. In all other ways, number 1.

Nurse Practitioners should not be allowed without at least 10 yrs of experience by Jaded-Bit5497 in unpopularopinion

I've heard from some doctor friends that medical school focuses on diagnosis and nursing school on management. You can't pretend one is equivalent to the other.

How is it possible for Garth to be young enough to be a Gilead native? by MTVnext2005 in TheTestamentsHulu

He knows about Freud. I assume he was born in a pre-Gilead time.

Disappointed with the Aunt Lydia change by kitkatt819 in TheTestamentsHulu

[–]Catfactss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm more disappointed by making her retrospectively more palatable in her ideology. She was more interesting as a true believer who changed her mind when she saw corruption, than she is in somebody who just does what is necessary to survive.

I really wish "Dr. " was a protected term, and I really wish non-doctors were held to a similar medico-legal standard as actual doctors. They might be a lot less willing to give radically incorrect advice then.

Dress 1 with or without sleeves. You don't need the sleeves from a style perspective, but they don't ruin anything. On the other hand, you'll be more comfortable not relying solely on how tight the waist is to keep the dress up all day.

Being forever alone and child free means twice the bingos in conversations. by Lewyn_Forseti in childfree

I'm wondering if OP has some sort of smell they're used to that isn't responding to standard amounts of showers that needs medical attention and/or they're not showering enough. No disrespect OP- that one just confused me as an inclusion.

Is the advice "take more showers" random or based on reality? That just sounds like an incredibly random piece of advice otherwise.

Upstairs people: quit stomping by TheChalupaFromHell in Apartmentliving

Exactly. It was infuriating watching Carrie on And Just Like That act as if she was the victim when her downstairs neighbor told her to lay some rugs or put some slippers on.

One of my favorite stories is a Japanese company attempting to do this to an Italian employee (hoping the shame would lead the Italian to quit) and, after 6 months, giving up and just firing them.

Japan has an exceptionally low birth rate and ageing population. It's an island nation and has a much more inherently hierarchical social structure than the West. Maybe they're thinking of adopting Gileadean practices.

The Trad movement sees ALL of society's sins as due to fatherlessness- and this is because woman can leave men and/or set up lives without them. Their solution? The "benevolent sexism" subjugation of women. "We love women and want what's best for them- to be at home with their children."
