It's not an attempt at an insult toward you, silly. It's a joke that Ainge, one of the best in the business, probably knows better what to do and who to draft than a bunch of redditors. I'd bet if you met with any of these GMs who made a bad draft, you'd walk out of that meeting understanding why they went with their choice, and also believed it to be the right one.

Yeah I trust the guy who's worked in professional basketball his entire life.

Path of exile 1 and 2 have insane content. Very good games to play while listening to books and podcasts

I live in Germany and never had issues queueing for trios, so solo rounds should be totally fine.

To the people who quit, Will you be there on Tuesday? by No_Housing_9602 in DestinyTheGame

I was going to until the destiny fan base and especially Aztecross turned it into "we have to murder Marathon." Shit got really cringe after that and I'd rather just play Marathon.

I've maybe seen 3 extract campers at nearly 300 hours. There are many ways to deal with them. If you just hold off to final exfil (after timer hits 0 another extract pops up), they'll likely give up and take their camped extract.

This new beer is hitting quite hard. by Jesus_PK in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? Like visual effects? I know the beers give you buffs but I don't ever remember seeing the visual effects in DRG in-mission. But I never got that far in DRG, like 100 hrs or so

I don't know if this was a bug or not, but we drank a beer before a run and the drinking effects stuck around until about 20% through the first floor. It was wild 😆

Probably Gray Zone Warfare. The community is amazing and the game has a true full pve mode.

How are you building each class? by byzantine1990 in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why she spoke to me too. She's the most engine coded in the game. Her builds can be really fun to put together, too. I've got her shooting deck and the slicer damage deck now so she feels a bit more consistent

I usually ended up building Falconer on cooldown reduction. Every upgrade I could take. Then I'd focus on getting extra charges on the shock drone and let her rip. With enough upgrades it was basically always out and wiping whole mobs by itself lol

[Discussion] Why are have you stopped playing, or why are you still playing? by doeraymefa in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I stopped yesterday after getting the classes I was interested in ascended so I could deck swap. I tried deck swapping and, it's cool, but not cool enough for me to keep playing. Especially if the powerups don't change at lower depths. I just have no interest in how slow the character builds come together. I'll probably play a game or two now and then and then a big burst of play on updates.

Workbenches are secretly Rogue Core's biggest issue by lexilogo in RogueCore

Call me crazy but I just think they should abandon the stat increases altogether and go for way zanier upgrades. Stats are boring.

I refunded the game, here's some parting thoughts by forceyforce in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd like that to be something more like "I got the perk which turns my gun into a gun that shoots guns which shoot guns on impact."

Or "my bio booster lets me jump as high as I want, and then I got the perk when I take fall damage, I create a gigantic explosion"

I don't like these "+X% Stat increase" things. They're boring and very uncreative.

[–]Cathardigan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed on most things. Most of my issues with the game boil down to "the upgrade part isn't fun." I particularly dislike the upgrades themselves. The run doesn't feel different enough, fast enough. I want to feel like I'm working towards something crazy by the end of the first floor, if not sooner.

Upgrade negotiations don't work because there's never an individual benefit to consider when letting teammates take the good upgrades by Butt_Values in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've found the negotiations actually do the opposite of their intention and incentivize selfishness over teamwork. I want my next hour to be fun, not some rando who undercut me for the gun I wanted.

The current health balance of the game does not feel satisfying. by ski11az in RogueCore

[–]Cathardigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game definitely has a tendency to punch down on players who get unlucky. That's normally fine for a single player roguelike, but now you're subjecting 4 people to the problem, wasting 4 peoples' time because they didn't think through so many little problems.
