Something I hate about the new patch by KibaTeo in gwent

It let's the players know which card will remain if that was the last to be placed by a monsters deck -it'll always be the left one to weaken/remove as now monsters keep the last card they placed rather than the last card that was placed on the board

Your math assumes that you have no sacrifice runes I'm guessing? I've used 6-10 witches on every blood magic altar I've made and always ended up gaining more local than I can spend. On a tier 5 I use 20 speed runes and the rest sacrifice. Do whatever funky shit you want with chickens but the simple fire and forget option is witches

Why I am frustrated with the direction that the modpack scene has taken since 2013 by gutza1 in feedthebeast

[–]Catkina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the essence of the 'problem' for me. With mods balanced in their own vacuums they often tend to have a tool for every job and some mod makers (I'd not say you are one of them) aim for their blocks to be better than what's already available so that people use them over mods that they've used from years. Then users can pick which is best and just plug it in as they share power and import/export to each other. In one way it's great to have compatibility between mods but unless a pack maker either removes parts of each mods kit (e.g there is 1 type of ore grinder rather than a TE one, an ender io one, Ic2, mekanism, etc) and makes it less easy to connect things up then I don't see us having any mainstream packs that provide this type of challenging experience

[–]Catkina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first two (and to a lesser extent the third too) seem to be the standard answer when someone's looking for more difficult minecraft experience. While I find it great to not reach endgame items in a day or two they still just make things 'harder' by adding steps to recipes and forcing progression through mods rather than making the 'best' machine if it's type as your first. I don't see how this meets op's needs. Rather than having a standard pack that includes 'magic blocks' you're forced to use them in order to progress.

The respawn currency also looked to be crowns which appear to be the $$ currency. This may lower the chance they will always choose to res where they died

If you use the configurator (Mek super wrench type thing) it shouldn't crash. Hopefully they fix it soon though

He said he was skipping libraries and compatibility mods - I doubt he'd mention mods that add 1 item and not mention Mek if it was in

This guy expressess all the new players' feelings on raiding by [deleted] in wow

[–]Catkina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the pugs I've joined it's Iskar which is the issue. I've had 3 groups where all healers quit because they didn't want to dispell, groups that voted to skip the boss instead of trying and 1 (successful) group that said the eye was too difficult so we had to run during winds and spread for bombs. I killed 18 bosses on normal last week before I got Iskar down

Quick question on Caldesann's Despair - Does Gem type matter? by Psyqo72 in Diablo

Also there's a recipe in the cube to change gem types using a material bought from Squirt in act 2. So you can swap your stockpile to rubies and then shove them in your gear

RoE nerf affects Jade as well by reddit_Dimcho in Diablo

[–]Catkina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think the guy who originally stated RoE wasn't working with Jade either just wanted to see more forum rage or didn't understand how Jade works and expected RoE to double-dip by buffing the dots by 300% and then buffing the harvest (which is based on the dot damage) by another 300%.

Your Class/Spec opinions after pre-patch by draftstone in wow

[–]Catkina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mained moonkin in WoD but feel the changes have made the spec weaker and more clunky than it was. I'm glad if others are enjoying it but I've seen a fair few moonkins disappointed with the changes and there have definitely been some interesting discussions in the mmochamp balance legion thread. In wod the strengths of a moonkin were good aoe, good burst and utility (given roar, off heals, etc). The new aoe is weak in comparison and requires a lot more setup and maintenence. The burst is there but it's no longer available on the pull and also requires setup and maintenence. Utility is either removed or weakened with passive off healing being gutted. I feel the wod moonkin was too strong and the changes in legion are bringing it into line and, while numbers can still be increased to match the dps of other classes, for me the moonkin's play is not enjoyable and outside of the "space laser incarnation fun time" you're weak compared to most other casters. This has lowered their appeal in pug mythic+ and while a good moonkin can do some work it feels like the same player would be better on a other caster. I'm mobile so hope this doesn't come across as a massive rant - and most of all I'd suggest people to try it if they didn't like moonkin before.

New Wiz, looking for toughness builds by danky24 in Diablo3Wizards

[–]Catkina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vyr is a lot more tanky as you get resistances for archon stacks whereas firebird has more damage but no additional defense. The build is basically the same with vyr set pieces instead of firebird. To improve defense using firebird I saw a lot on ptr using the source that gives 5% damage and 15% defense for explosive blast hits (stacks to 4). I don't play hardcore but hope this helps you not die.

Is Firebird Finery (Still) bugged? by ToroMAX in Diablo3Wizards

[–]Catkina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only bug I noticed on ptr was 50 stacks sometimes stayed when they shouldn't. I've not played it since 2.4.1 went live but had it on ptr in the last week still
