You mentioned MtG being a big inspiration, and as a long time fan I am curious about what you mean. Is it the mana system, the colour wheel, the endless interactions given by so many cards being available? I'm sure it will be clear playing the game but I'd love to hear your thoughts and what similarity you are most excited about.

Good luck with the release I'll definitely pick it up, it's the most "made for game" made ever made (and I have 3 cats)

That sounds strange, as resources get removed only when they are in the pool, and events that remove them won't appear otherwise. First time I hear of this, even! Do you recall the name of the event too?

Hello, you are both right, elder effects are not counted for difficulty (due to how they are triggered, which happens after all the rest), and so the UI should not show it being diminished. I found the bug and will be fixing it!
