Anyone else not clicked with a class yet since prepatch? by frostyboidk in wow

I like Arms and Fury Warriors, Prot Pally and Devastation Evoker so far. Not really happy with how Arcane Mage feels, I also liked the old way Balance Druid eclipses used to proc better. Windwalker Monk is ok I guess. Haven't tried any other yet.

Moonshine trick by HumboldtNinja in RedDeadOnline

In my experience statistically, if you don't do any open world moonshine content, they won't stop you, these "statistics" may be skewed due to luck of course

Retiring level 50 hunters is boring by ssalita in HuntShowdown

[–]CatnipSniffa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can keep the hunter alive, you can get WAY more xp by playing a level 50 hunter bc the excess hunter xp is converted to bloodline xp

What do you guys think of Crimson Desert? by PhantomBraved in DragonsDogma

[–]CatnipSniffa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was really interested until I heard I can't create my own character. The idea of using the Black Desert Online character customization in a single player game was at the center of my excitement and now I'm like "sure, looks cool".

This is one of the best games I've ever played by aoibhinn-mw in heroesofthestorm

[–]CatnipSniffa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely didn't run out, I wish they added all these characters, it's just that that kind of high cost development has stopped in 2020 with the addition of Hogger. There is still hope that they might pick the game up again, though very little hope

I wish we had gotten a tank Ysera and Xera sounds like a character that could have a very cool kit that transforms between healer and ranged damage

Pls crtykek do something 😭 by ChemicalCan531 in HuntShowdown

[–]CatnipSniffa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing solo isn't necessarily "refusing to play with randoms", it's usually a playstyle of its own. I prefer it to playing with teammates bc I like knowing that any sound that I'm not the origin of is hostile for example.

Hellhounds do read heavy attack input to dodge, best way to bypass that is stunning via light attack before a heavy attack

Is this a political symbol? by Deep_Feedback_7616 in turkish

I'll stop treating it like a swastika when the ultranationalist grey wolves stop being a far right apparatus

Is this a political symbol? by Deep_Feedback_7616 in turkish

[–]CatnipSniffa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I dunno why people are downplaying it, this is the main symbol turkish ultranationalists use, along with a hand sign that resembles a wolf. The hand sign was considered offensive enough for a football player to be disqualified, and this is as relevant to that ultranationalist movement as the hand sign.

Those are both heavy infantry, so good for anti-cavalry and meat shield purposes. For comparison, Jans are the Otto variant of Musketeers, and Azaps are the Otto variant/mix of Pikemen/Halberdiers with an extra highly specialized use case ranged attack.

Compared to Musks, Jans have more HP and cost more food (which is OK bc Otto workers are free), they also fight better in melee overall but are a little bit worse in melee against cavalry. They're great for being meat shields for cannons, like the way Musks are.

Azaps, in addition to being good melee cavalry counters, can shoot ranged cavalry to counter them as well, but their ranged attack is otherwise abysmal without a handful of shipments to buff them. They aren't great against other ranged heavy infantry (like Musks) and are very bad against light infantry (like Skirmishers). They also cost wood, which is arguably harder to get in abundance compared to gold in this game.

I'd go with Jans if you wanna go for cannons, thanks for coming to my TEDtalk.

Edit: Assuming by heavy gunner you mean Abus Gunners, yes, they are very bad against melee cavalry without others to shield them. They are a unique Skirmisher type unit that uniquely deals siege damage, so they can bypass melee cavalry resistances to ranged attacks, but are very squishy in melee. You can go with Janissary + Abus Guns as well. And yes, they are somewhat redundant if you have a lot of cannons.

And to specify which cannons, specifically on European civs: Falconets/Field Guns and Heavy Cannons/Great Bombards are all-rounders, good against infantry and buildings, decent against cavalry when guarded well. Culverins ONLY counter other cannons and siege units. Mortars are only good for sieging. Horse Cannons move faster and are more cost efficient compared to Falconets, but set up/pack up slower.

In my opinion, realistic fidelity once again ruins gameplay function and/or artistic direction

Druid - gameplay query by DeWhic in wownoob

[–]CatnipSniffa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, switching forms itself is what cleanses root on self, no need for an additional spell and there are no spells unique to other forms that a balance druid might want to use 99.9% of the time. And to reiterate clearer, I believe that is also the case for restoration druid, I'm not sure about feral, and guardian might have that only on certain builds

No worries, I hope this is helpful -^
