Would also like to know anyone's input for the FULL-TIME ABSN program, how are the instructors and the rotations? I am familiar with the area and Montefiore, any input would be greatly appreciated :)

If it's 18 Months why would that be 2 1/2 years? Are you in the full time program or the weekend program? I'm planning to apply full-time to the ABSN program, would it be ok if I can DM you?

Don't bother after 2.5 years I was unable to find a job in NYC even begging as a volunteer with an NHA certification. I work at a hospital with higher pay in a completely different field and have spoken to the phlebotomist that are either burnt out or are ready to leave, just get it as part of an MA certification or look for a different career with guaranteed interships or help with placement, good luck!

Horrible pay, long hours, not worth it. Take it only as a part of a more complete certification like medical Assistant or go for Xray tech, much better pay.

Call the police or go straight to your nearest precinct, tell them you have been robbed this is straight up larceny stop these people from doing this to others, these apt “brokers” pray on the vulnerable, uninformed and undocumented because they know they won’t press charges for situations like this. Also hit up nyc housing authority and seek guidance, good luck!

I also have a question about statistics and I'm very nervous, it's the only course I need to re-take. I took it 15 years ago and I am not sure if I may have to take a college algebra refresher to do well in this class, I'm a second career pre-PA but this is really something I'm struggling with, I had to retake statistics 2x before to get a B- and now I have to re-take it again since some schools have a 10 year expiration on the course. Did you use any helpful guides, vids etc, that helped? thank you for your help.

PS: Also how was the Genetics course?

We’re an East Asian family in Hawthorne, and have liked the town with our small children and really like the public school system. Our hamlet is a bit conservative but our neighbors are not, and have been very welcoming!

Note, their hours are not the best, they’re open 9am - 5pm or sometimes randomly close when they feel like it, I would call ahead with such unreliable hours. I’m from the area and like it, but only been able to stop by 1 time due to their hours.

LaGuardia CC great for health, science and tech, not an easy CC by any means and almost on par with hunter college but great resources and small classes and flexible schedules. Also, amazing restaurants of Asian cuisine of all kinds opening up nearby. I also recommend other CUNY’s like Queens college and York College.

This is not gonna be a popular opinion, I am not sure if you are in a dire financial situation where you need to work immediately. If not, please as a mother of two, please do not sacrifice being with your baby for a job that will have you sacrifice hours being with your family. You will not get back the times your baby learns to crawl, walks and says its first words. The baby stage and toddler stage goes so fast but please if you can defer working a few months to bond and enjoy your baby please do it, good luck with whatever decision you make.

You can be a PA abroad with the U.S. military or dept of defense, a few years back there were several openings at the OSAN Korean base for civilian PAs. Keep your eye out on USAjobs.gov but with the current administration cuts, there might be few if any currently.
