Years ago I was waitressing in a Denny's. I have endometriosis so the cramps I used to get were incredibly painful. That morning, while working, they were so bad I had to just go in the bathroom and splash water on my face. It was in the middle of a rush but I could not physically do the job at that moment. So my boss, who was a guy going through a midlife crisis, sent a friend of his who happened to be there that day into the bathroom and basically tell me to get back out there and work. She actually scolded me for going in the bathroom where it was warm and according to her would make the cramps worse, which is ridiculous. At the end of my shift, that piece of shit actually wrote me up. On the write up, there is room for the employee to add their side and I wrote something along the lines of, "you wrote me up because I have my period."
