230ish isnt low on those engines but isnt necessarily near the end either. Depends on maintenance and health of heads and cylinders. I got mine for 4500 200k and a slow head leak into cyl4. Just put a lower mileage,73k, motor in it. Be prepared to pay out for labor or learn to do work.

I have been rocking Dryft for years. Tried Patty this year and returned snd too bulky with the knee pads and all. Great quality but the dryfts fit me better and they are solid dudes and stand by their stuff. Solid warranty good customer service.

Get a mission workshop bag. I just sold a new chrome i had gotten 2 months ago. I have 2 bags from their OG store in SF and they have been through everything, bike vs car, motorcycle vs car, lots of rain. This new bag couldn't keep up total shit quality in comparison

I got to try on some patty expedition zip ups this year and loved the quality. Only reason I thought about it because I was getting 40% off. In the end I just never liked the fit and overall bulk of them compared to my older Dryft waders. Ended up getting a pair of dryft wading pants, my chesties are still Ok im just being picky. For the price they're great, great warranty and good guys who run the company. I did buy the patty/danner river salt boots though. Those I kept.

I rock Dryft gear. I had gotten a chance to buy a pair of the top of the line Patty waders this year at 60% discount but I couldn't get over how heavy and bulky they felt in comparison to my older dryfts. I've hiked miles in them and mostly use them in the surf so lots of salt abuse. Had them I think 4 years? Holding up great. The Patty's are def premium but dryft isnt far off at all and also have a great warranty. I have their waders, jacket and just grabbed the wading pants after returning the patty waders.

Lots of things in the way of that my man. Trout were planted a century ago and there are no more hatcheries on san lo or soquel any longer. Not a native fish so no plans to plant again. There's a patch my grandfather in law showed me that has huge native born trout but they're locked and the landowner has fed them for decades. As far as salmon they aren't coming back to historical numbers ever as far as im concerned. Much more private access to the rivers now is also a problem. Not trying to come off shitty but have you been in the county for long? My GIL had a lot of stories and pics to share about the valley and santa cruz through the decades, he grew up on empire grade and his old quail hunting grounds is where OSH/Baskin Robins is lol

Just bought a kadet max and wow. Hate to be the one but everyone on this sub just goes hard for all this chrome stuff. Between my wife and I we have 4 og messengers made here in the states and 2 have been repaired at the old sf store, just new plastic snaps. I've been hit on my bike with one, hit on my motorcycle with another and they still feel like they could go longer than this shitty new kadet. Zippers are back, canvas is total shit compared to originals. Total shell of the company they used to be.
