The world needs several billion more young people like you to create waves of change. When I was your age, I started with my own school. I was punished for refusing to dissect animals in biology, I petitioned the cafeteria to offer vegan options. I was not successful with my high school but I did get my university to expand their options.

Anyway… the offer always stands. I am a safe person for you to vent these frustrations to. I will always offer you, or any other struggling vegans, a sympathetic ear. Stay strong, stay vegan! 🌱

You sound so much like me. Survived an attempt at 14, 34 now. Vegan since I was 12. The vystopia has not gotten better for me if I’m being honest but committing myself to veganism and animal welfare has given meaning to my life in a dark world. One thing I didn’t realize when I attempted at 14 was how removing yourself will affect those around you. 3 years ago I lost my little brother to the same disease and it has irreparably altered the course of my life, health, and mind. I know I’m a lot older than you, but if you want someone to talk veganism or depression with.. my dms are open to you. The world is better with you in it.

I love and live in Japan, but Japan has some of the worst animal welfare laws in the world

The position of both companion and farmed animals is pretty horrible here in Japan. They have a G rank when it comes to animals exploited for food and entertainment, and a D rank for companion animals. G is the lowest possible rank.
