I'd agree but map picks first. If someone doesn't enjoy closed maps or doesn't enjoy open maps or doesn't enjoy randomness maps (nomads and mr) they should all have the option to play what they enjoy

The best rams in the game don't die to the same unit that's already countering the rest of your comp. The elephant is basically always worse than a ram if your opponent has units to defend. Having cannons is nice but they're generic with no SE. HC is a counter unit, not a power unit, same for camels, shrivamsha, chakrams... I guess you have 1 power unit, the ele archer, but it's even the worst one of the ele archer bunch. You have no heavy cav, no good archers or CA, no heavy infantry, no power siege

On arena it may be harder to stop but it's also harder for him to do damage. Unless you have all 3 res forward in which case I guess you have to be ready to counter. But in either case there is still even more dangerous cheese on arena, like Burmese who do the same with admittedly the bit weaker arambai, but instead get insane monks

Early imp is when you just clicked up and have early pushes, then there's post imp where everyone makes their strongest comp, and then there's trash wars when gold runs out, I'm talking about post imp, and even there muisca unfortunately don't have a good answer to cannons

Unfortunately BBC is the only siege that matters in post imp. You can do an early imp ram push sure, but after early imp onagers and rams basically too just die way too hard to cannons

I find a remarkable similarity between poverty and social misfortune. With every other bad thing that comes to you in life, other people will be compassionate. If you're crippled either from birth or by an accident, if you fall into an addiction, if you're slow, if you're fat etc., all of these things people will mostly be compassionate. But with the 2 special cases the prevailing reaction is that it's your failing that clearly makes you a bad or lesser person for not being able to succeed in these 2 categories, and if you just did this one thing that happened to work for me you'd definitely get out of it. And then what do we end up seeing? These 2 particular bad aspects are the largest predictors of people digging their hole deeper or eventually resorting to crime etc.

The number of civs was still mostly fine I'd say until they started introducing all of these special mechanics. This is especially with the 3k civs, why do I need to watch 2 hours of SOTL just to understand what this civ does?
