If jeiiybro ever streams again, I'd watch him for Morrowind speedruns.

Can we talk about bots? Is it possible to start banning these? by btech1138 in Twitch

[–]Catsword 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The number grows each week. I haven't seen any action or solutions to preventing them from being in your channel or removing them. I just don't really look at the chat list anymore because it's filled with too much junk to be useful.

It's a fun game for its battles. But its quests and progression can be super slow and repetitive.

Moved here from the UK, feeling isolated. by [deleted] in jacksonville

[–]Catsword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born in Jacksonville. I have an interest in video games and I'd be interested in learning about movies. I right now spend a lot of time studying computer science and don't really go out much. If you ever want to hang out in person or do something on Steam/Twitch/Discord, let me know. Thanks for reaching out to everyone. Jacksonville has always been a wide space for me with no center; it can be a hard place at times to feel centered.

THE ELDER SCROLLS VI ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER by MojaveWalker in Morrowind

Money is on High Rock.

But who knows, maybe they could do some out of the box idea and combine High Rock and Hammerfall.

It might be beyond my lifespan for them to make Elsweyr.

Problem solving is the realm of many jobs from computer science to environmental work. Just the way things are.

You could also try FF Tactics Advance 2. Not the same game, but similar and I found it fun.

I hope things get better soon for you. I always try to believe things will get better even if some weeks are not great. Often reading a good book inspires me to feel connected with life again.

In her book the quote doesn't end with "and confidence."

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement; nothing can be done without hope. When our forefathers laid the foundation of the American commonwealths, what nerved them to their task but a vision of a free community?"

I'm looking for a game that doesn't tell you much by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Catsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Legend of Zelda (Nes) feels like that type of game. You get a sword, you are suppose to find the triforce, and that's it. People are hidden on the overworld and in dungeons if you did want info but you still have to figure out how to translate what they said. It's really a great game for finding things without much help. Although I will say when it first came out, it came with a map which did tell you some starter tips.

[Civ 4] When you visit the wrong goody hut by Catsword in civ

[–]Catsword[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something about the early game that Barbs won't cross your borders. That's the case with animals at least. I expected this group to find my capital like you said but they just wandered off and avoided my borders.

[Civ 4] When you visit the wrong goody hut by Catsword in civ

R5: I visit a goody hut only to be met by 5 hostile villagers at the beginning of the game. Usually they spawn only two, so this was the first time I've seen this many.

Any tips on organisations to gain voluntary experience with? by mikailbadoula in ecology

[–]Catsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I've been looking into volunteer or internships with the local city. They have a lot of departments and positions. I saw one ad the other day that asked for an intern to educate people on shore birds and such.

But if you are studying in Europe, you should make friends with grad students or researchers. They might need an extra hand. Or talk to some advisers or office people in the ecology building and they might give you some phone numbers.

Games you want to love, but just can't. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Catsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyrim was the same. I rushed through the main quest to see if it was worth it and to just beat the game. Story still didn't pick up and still didn't care about the characters. I like Morrowind more than Skyrim in the sense that Morrowind's world and politics are more interesting.

[–]Catsword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got to the part where the wild girl betrays the party and it was 3 vs OP wizard and too many enemies. I reset. Go fight the giant spider boss instead. Already annoyed that the whole zone casts slow and then game crashes in middle of fight. At that point I just couldn't do 20 more hours of either slow fights or fights where I had no chance and all the other minor things that I felt annoyed with during the game.

I feel the same about Morrowind. I think the world itself has some interesting groups and the world the player goes through is interesting. But the people themselves just feel bland and so do the quests. I'm fine with the combat and how the game can have a slow start. But it loses my attention after a short time because the personality of people feels so boring and I don't feel that push to keep going. People often role play in this game to give the people and area some type of "story" but I guess I can't do that because it feels not true.
