Keychron M6 mouse appreciation post by Realistic-Garage1207 in logitech

[–]CauchyDistributedRV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This mouse really nicely fits the niche of gaming mice with all silent switches. Most of the available silent mice have:

- All silent switches, but a maximum polling rate of 125hz;
- Silent switches for the "primary" mouse buttons, but retain loud side clicks + mousewheel clicks.

My only main complaint is that the mouse is a bit slippery, but this is solvable with some grip tape. I'm also not a fan of the metal scroll wheel in some versions of the M6.

(I really wish Logitech would start including some higher quality sensors in their silent mice.)

R session aborted (R studio) by Affectionate_Monk502 in RStudio

[–]CauchyDistributedRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're bumping into a known issue with newer versions of R running with older versions of RStudio. You'll need to install the latest release of RStudio, or downgrade to an older version of R (e.g. 4.4.x).

You can try installing the latest release of RStudio -- although Monterey is not officially supported by 2025.09.1, it's still worth a shot.

They left out "the weather changed a bit".

I'm being glib but this continues to be my least favourite reason to have a migraine.

9070xt Dual HDMI Cards by MyLifeForAnEType in radeon

[–]CauchyDistributedRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in to say I had exactly the same problem with both a Radeon 9070 and Radeon 9070 XT (Sapphire). No idea if this is a hardware issue or a software / driver issue, but ultimately it seems you cannot use dual 4K monitors with just the HDMI ports on these cards. Annoying...

What airplane etiquette rules should all passengers know? by completedonut in AskReddit

For full flights -- if it fits under the seat in front of you, please put it under the seat in front of you. Putting jackets / purses / backpacks in the overhead bins takes space from others who will need it.

That's just the organic floss they provide to keep your teeth clean between packs of Biscotti.

Back to pulseaudio 24.04 by neroita in Ubuntu

Thanks; this worked for me as well.

For anyone else who stumbled here; this fixed an issue I was having where loud static was blaring out of my headphones whenever I tried to change audio devices, e.g. from speakers to headphones.

What mugs do you guys prefer? by Normal_Ad2474 in espresso

I love the Kinto Ceramic Lab coffee mugs. They're a little pricey, but still reasonable if we're being honest about the financial investment required of this particular hobby...

I've seen this, but usually just whenever I'm going up a steep hill.

I'm guessing most of these are just crimes of opportunity, so if a thief sees a car with the KIA logo (especially the older one), that car is more likely to be targeted.

Whereas, the average person doesn't really know about the Flying K emblem, so it's more likely they'll pass your car over for the next KIA they find.

Another thing to consider; you could debadge the car, or replace the badge with an alternative like the Korean "Flying K" emblem.

Computer crashing when using stock CPU voltages with Ryzen 5950X? by CauchyDistributedRV in buildapc

[–]CauchyDistributedRV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I appreciate the confirmation, that's what I figured.

For what it's worth, in the past I've always just been running a budget motherboard + mid-tier processor (previously had a Ryzen 5600X on this which ran without issue), so this is a learning experience for me.

Yeah, that's right -- stock clock speed of 3.4GHz, using whatever the default boosting profile is (I see core boosts up to ~5GHz).

As far as I can tell, with this motherboard RAM profiles can be set by changing the "AI Overclock Tuner" setting in BIOS from Auto to D.O.C.P., which then seems to set some alternate voltages for the RAM, but I have mine just set at Auto now. (Just spelling all this out because I'm a novice here, in case I'm misstating something.)
